Wow, with the launch of the new digitalfoundry.net website today and the real-time bug fixing that dominated the afternoon, well, in all this excitement, I'd kinda lost track of the fact that we are indeed taping Digital Foundry Direct Weekly #239 first thing tomorrow, UK time.

We're still looking for our lead news story and if I'd had time this afternoon (as opposed to launching a website), I would've taken a look at Advanced Shader Delivery on ROG Ally X. Maybe I'll find some time to get that done because any attempt from Microsoft to cure #StutterStruggle is hugely newsworthy, but there are still other interesting topics on the docket.

First of all, we did actually tape an RDNA 2 driver segment last week, but we dropped it when AMD announced that day one optimisations would still be forthcoming. We'll be returning to that topic now armed with new knowledge and some responses to questions we sent to AMD.

We may well cover off the PlayStation Portal cloud experience, which basically means you can play PlayStation games without a PlayStation, while we may also cover the mysterious "symbols" that have emerged potentially showing cross-buy and other new features. Ker-azy DRAM prices, new AMD Ryzen CPUs and a gaming Strix Halo variant may also make the line-up.

But now it's over to you - feel free to suggest possibly more exciting topics than the ones above and of course, deluge us with your questions! It'll be Rich (ie me), Alex and one of John or Oliver at the mics tomorrow. Deadline for your input is 8am GMT. Thanks in advance!

Oh and by the way, many thanks to the Retro and Premium tier supporters who found pretty much all of the initial bugs in digitalfoundry.net before most people were aware that we'd gone live. Much appreciated!

Yeees Rich and hello, DF Geeks. Glad to be a part on this historical movement (DF independence). On Remote Play, What are your thoughts on PS Portal's new "update", Also will Playstation ever provide good NAT Traversal or good support/experience like Xbox (which don't actually require a native app). Thanks & Cheers on the website.

Greetings men of silicon, if the rumours are true and the next Xbox is indeed a PC running Windows 11, what is the target audience for such a device, and at what price? Is it for console gamers? PC gamers on a budget? Or some as yet uncatered to segment?

Levikonn

Hello gents! In the recent Metroid Prime 4 trailer, I noticed some of the lines on Sylux’s armor are extremely jaggy and look exceptionally odd. What is the technical reason for this occurring? Is that just a low res texture issue? Most of the lines on Samus’ armor look nice and clean. I would attach a screenshot I took but that isn’t possible here on Patreon sadly. Cheers and keep up the great work!

"This is an Xbox." "That is an Xbox." "Everything is an Xbox." My humble question to you all: can you really call something an Xbox if it doesn't run Bill Gates's favorite game Fuzion Frenzy?

Anguram Shanmugam

w/o "Box" the "X" don't have any meaning to it..!

Hello independent DF Directors! There seems to be a huge disconnect between the incredible quality and creativity we have seen in 2025's games versus the relentless doom and gloom on the business side. Do you think this year's corporate woes will lead to a noticeable reduction in quantity and quality, or does the collective misery of suits and developers ultimately not matter?

TheAdam

Hey DF Machine Men. With over 30 million Xbox units sold, the Xbox is considered unsuccessful, so much so that MS wants to radically change its entire console strategy. But who could then take this spot instead of Xbox? 30 million potential customers must be attractive to other manufacturers, right? Or do you think that these 30 million buyers will be distributed among Sony and Nintendo's consoles over the years and next generations? Is this the chance for a Steam console? A revival of Sega, or are the entry costs into the console market too high and the ROI too low? Much worse than that... is the glorious era of consoles coming to an end? Stay the way you are and thank you very much!

Skyrimfest 26 FPS Edition

Switch 2 has apparently sold over 10 million units, which sounds like a lot. Are all these fancy PC handhelds (including the Xbox X Ally X Xbox and rumoured Vita Mk2) just competing for the crumbs left on Nintendo's table?

BespokeEP

I don't know about anybody else but when I read Men of Silicon, I sang it to the tune of the song from Robin Hood: Men in Tights. "We're men.. we're men of Silicon, silicon, silicon" Bravo lol

Good day to you DF Gents! Thanks for all the amazing content over the years & long may it continue! With some big games seemingly having issues with frame time/stutter struggle over a year after the initial release & a lot of less demanding indies playing flawlessly with much lower resources at hand. Do you think Dev's should use power limited hardware targets from the start of development and work upwards once a decent level of performance has been set in stone? Surely things cannot continue as they are performance wise in the long term?

Skyrimfest 26 FPS Edition

Do you think frame gen could dynamically fill the gap between a GPU's native frame output up to the monitor's native refresh rate?  So if you have a 240Hz screen and could natively run the game at around, say, 190fps, frame gen could add only the additional circa 50fps to hit the monitor refresh for increased smoothness without impacting the 190fps native frames.  Would this keep latency at bay? Or am I being dumb and this is impossible/already happening?

DudleyTheGentleman

Hello again distinguished leaders of the Anti-Stutter Coalition! During Intel's recent "Technology Tour", Tom Peterson briefly talked about Intel's research into Cooperative Vectors as it relates to the future of rendering. The most interesting part of that talk was the concept of replacing geometry with a neural model. What are your thoughts on this potential paradigm shift? Are traditional triangle/polygonal meshes going away, likely to eventually be replaced with a neural model, or some form of 3D volume, as path-tracing slowly becomes the norm? How would such a future impact GPU designs? Thanks, and congrats on the official launch of the website!

Greetings, gentlemen. During last week's discussion of the upcoming Halo CE remake, the panel lamented the further proliferation of UE5. As someone with an extremely basic understanding of how graphical engines work, I'm curious as to why an engine being so widely used might not be a good thing. I'm not defending UE5 because, as I just said, I don't really understand how these things work, but I'd like to be able to understand this. I know that companies making their own engines has become extremely risky in modern times (Crystal Tools and Luminous engine come to mind, pretty sure Square will never develop their own engine ever again) but UE5 just seems to be what everyone uses nowadays and at least we don't have the atrocious performance issues we had during the PS3/360 era. Wishing you all a great day and thank you for the fantastic work that you do.

TheAdam

Hi DF Machine Men. After John's super-duper retro show, I felt a little melancholic... but in a good way. Because the guys were right, publishers dared to do much more and experimented more often, whether it was with gameplay or technology. Hence my question, or rather my request to you. Would you like to put the spotlight more often on the hidden, small, curious, and maybe technically exciting titles? What is there beyond the blockbusters... I fondly remember, for example, a game of the year list from Alex where he presented rather unknown and strange titles... please more of that. Or do I sound too much like an old gamer Dad? Thanks as always for the great content.

Orcacle

Good day to you all. Congratulations on the website, It's looking great! With the implementation of Advanced Shader Delivery for the ROOOOOOG Xbox Ally X, as well as Valve's implementation for Steam Deck, it has to be only a matter of time until it's available widely for users of vastly different hardware configurations. Will these Microsoft or game publishers/developers simply own as much hardware as they see fit and release limited shader precomp support? Will Valve allow users to upload their own cache to a database for users with the same hardware to make use of? Maybe Nvidia, AMD, and/or Intel will start optionally including cache in their game-specific driver optimisations? I'm curious how you all think it could come about. On a side note, if John is at the mic in this session, question for him specifically: when are we getting Doom running entirely off of AMD's 3D V-cache?

Beyond Next-Gen

Greetings DF'ers! When tinkering with Battlefield 6 I noticed that the resolution-scale slider remained functional even when DLSS was enabled (most games disable this feature when enabling upscaling). I have since bumped this slider up to 130% on my 5090 and am enjoying a significant increase in visual fidelity. But I was curious about the hierarchy here...does the game render at 130%, then down-sample to 4k and then do DLSS (quality)? Or does DLSS simply upscale from the original over-sampled rez of (*checks notes) 4992x2808? Also what are the team's general feelings on oversampling? As GPU/VRAM capacity goes up for next gen, could this be a viable way for PC gamers to easily "remaster" their older titles? Thanks...and yes I do sit far too close to my screen.

Alexander Zyryanov

Hello DF Crew. Are you looking forward to the future where Microsoft solved #StutterStruggle by training Copilot to play your games and build shader cache for you?

DyeHardX86

Hallo! Great Job on the new DigitalFoundry.Net, clean, simply designed, and smooth scrolling and nice touch going ad free for supporters much appreciated. My question this week is in regards to rumors apparently originating from KeplerL2 and ElGamerInforma1 that Xbox Magnus will be up to 4X the "Power" of PS6 while being 2X more expensive I'm not really buying that. What's your thoughts? and thank you for what you do as always.

Zero

Hello DF crew! With Digtial Foundry launching a new retro podcast (well done John!), I was curious what does Digital Foundry consider as "retro" these days? November 2025 marks the 20th anniversary of the Xbox 360. It also means that the 360 is actually older this month than the original Xbox was when the Xbox Series X/S released (19 years). With systems like the Wii also turning 20 next year, is the meaning of retro shifting for you all?

DyeHardX86

I imagine like myself many of those Xbox fans have large libraries of games they will look to keep playable 30 million is still a very strong revenue generator even without Gamepass so they'll continue pursuing that base until it fades to nothing

MattGPT

Hello gents! A question on the ongoing shader compilation part of #StutterStruggle. As Valve have solved this with the Steam Deck by supplying a full set of shaders, as also happens on consoles and if one were to complete a full playthrough of a game (without driver updates etc.) then one would have a full shader cache. As Valve have found a way to reverse engineer this to provide a full set of shaders is there any way that could be done from a normal shader cache on a PC game, creating a database and then some form of plugin or changing the shader burn database to force the game to complete a full burn? Could Valve supply the database for the burn via Steam, could Nvidia by something similar to the DLSS override, could a third party implement it in something similar to Special K? Happy independenting! Matt

Hi Team DF, have any of you tried out the gaming copilot feature yet on the rog xbox ally x. I've been using it to help me work out what to do in the Outer Worlds 2 when I get stuck, It can see my screen! Sometimes it's magical but other times its very dumb. Me: "How do I enable this quest?", Copilot: "Oh hi Lewis, you're doing great, just look at that guy on the left, he'll hand out the quest, good luck!" **Co-pilot is referring to a poster with a picture of a person on it, an irrelevant one at that which has nothing to do with the quest... Would love to hear your thoughts.

AfreemTheDream

Greetings, Foundrymen! Rich's "Call for Questions" brought up something I had been wondering about for a while: about how often do you work on a video, only to have to scrap it for some unforeseen reason? Can we get some more insight into the production of DF videos? Show us how the sausage is made, damn you!! Cheers!

Spodlude

Hi Team DF. Our community discusses game preservation quite a lot. I have a very large Nintendo collection from NES to date that is housed in my loft rotting away thanks to my house being now filled with my own children's toys... no room for Daddy's toys :(. Do you have any tips to stop my cherished collection turning to mush in a British loft. It's mostly vacuum packed and in stack storage boxes. Cheers.

CABBAC

Good morrow people of the far advanced world of Digital Foundry! With Lobotomy Softwares state of the art SlaveDriver engine code being dropped online do you think video game developers should be obliged to release code for defunct engines for historical and archival purposes particularly so homebrew communities can attempt to unleash the unlimited power outside of the limited life these engines originally have?

regawdless

Hello Gents! With Xbox out of the traditional console business, how high are the chances of Arrogant Sony returning? Cheers

Hi Gents, Pathetic story about the GameCube for you here. In the build up to a UK release I'd been harassing the poor people at Edge Magazine for months, they had a competition that the best model of Luigi submitted by a reader would win a Japanese cube early. I think I called them multiple times a week for months on end asking if I'd won, alas I hadn't won, my plasticene Luigi likely disintegrated in the post. On the day the GameCube finally came out in the UK my mum let me have the day off school, she took me to Toys R Us at Lakeside Thurrock. I vomited on the floor of Toys R Us with excitement that I was finally getting my Cube. I was 10. Were any of you ever this excited by a gaming release? P.S the vomiting got me enough sympathy to pick up a copy of Monkey Ball in addition to Luigi's mansion.

How did Digital Eclipse do with the Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection? The fighting game streamers were unimpressed with the netcode, but how was the rest of the package?

Spodlude

Are they not already there with how lacklustre the first party support has been this gen?

BespokeEP

The issue is paper specs never tell the full story, as we have seen from every previous generation. And we also have no clue what clock speeds both machines will be running at. I imagine PS6 will have a clock speed, I/0 speed, & SSD advantage again. And the fact that devs will specifically target PS6, I actually see another repeat of this gen with most games performaning equal or better on PlayStation. Also considering Mark is working on RDNA 6 with AMD as well... What future feature will be included in PS6 that won't be on Xbox considering Xbox is using the exact PC chiplet of RDNA5. I mean sure they said that the goal is to bring the tech to everyone no matter where you play. At the end of the day Mark works for Sony, not AMD and certainly not MS. He will want the PS6 to have bespoke tech not in the Xbox. I also don't think Kepler said 4x the performance. Performance gains would be measured in percentages and like I said, we don't know enough to make any assumptions

DyeHardX86

Yeah that's why I brought up KeplerL2 specifically as he is implying the Clocks, ROPs and Bandwidth advantage all lie with Xbox this time owing to the PC Storefront requirements of course Noone knows final specs yet paper, or otherwise

FlowEffect

Greetings to the honourable guild of distinguished Foundry-men – please hear my request to learn more about electronic entertainment technology: With all the doom and gloom already surrounding the upcoming tenth console-gen, what would you consider the most exciting gen so far, tech-wise. And could it indeed be the "last" console-gen or something that could be described as such. Keep up the amazing work and stay bespoke!

Sean Maley

Hi Gents! This question is for Jon since he has an LG G4. How do you handle GSYNC flickering on your panel (or any OLED panel)? I’ve disabled GSYNC on my PC because it started to bother me. My PC is hooked up to my 55inch OLED. Apologies if this has been asked before.

Jonathan Hamilton

I plan to not renew my Game Pass subscription in December, and the PlayStation Portal has just received the PS Plus streaming update. Spending that money on a higher PS Plus tier seems like a slam dunk. What could possibly go wrong?

Pedro Carvalho

This is actually hilarious. Poor kid you, man.

MangoKat

Greetings, DF! First-time subscriber, long-time viewer. The proof of my long-time viewing being the DF Direct logo that is burnt slap-bang into the middle of my beloved LG B8 OLED! With Black Friday fast approaching, what 55" TV would the DF team recommend in 2025? Or should I save my hard earned money a little bit longer and see what 2026 brings?

RedHotLikePizzaSupper

Howdy Digital Foundry Gents! I was wondering if you guys could share some of your favourite video game graphics from over the years. Not necessarily the best or most advanced, but the ones that hooked you, and really brought a specific game to life. Cheers!

Alan

Hi guys, A billion voices cry out as GTA 6 is delayed until 19th November 2026—over a year away and possibly out less than a year before PS6? Chances of it being pushed back as a launch title for Gen 10? What are the chances of a visit to R* for a video on the RAGE engine? P.S., R* should be allowing pre-orders for the Special, Limited, and Collector's editions now to stop the scalpers.

Kaveh PG

Good day DF, in honor of DF Direct Weekly T-239 I'm wondering why a good chunk of Switch 2 games have been ditching Ambient Occlusion in handheld mode. The Steam Deck seems to handle AO just fine, is there some component of the T-239 that might cause it to struggle?

Will Cooling

Could it be that the way the PS6 Handheld is a PS6 is that it can stream PS6 games off the cloud whilst playing PS5 games offline?

ConcreteLlama

Oh look GTA6 has been delayed again! I hope you guys are still around to do the PC review in 3027

狐のケイ - Cae the Kitsune

Greetings! Did you all ever manage to figure out why the Switch 2 has lower CPU clocks in docked mode than in portable mode? My understanding was always that the Switch changed GPU clocks but not CPU clocks between modes because graphics are scalable, but suddenly taking away CPU performance would be like pulling the rug out from under the game’s feet. Not only does the Switch 2 do that, but it does it in the mode you’d expect to have access to more power, not less. Does this remain an enigma, or do you have any working theories? Thanks as always for all your hard work. :)

DaJaCo (Dan)

I think most of that was games as a service cock-ups.. which you could argue was arrogance, or ignorance.

ProfessorWah

Hi team DF, I have longed for an opportunity to make Rich say exclamation point! I'm mainly a console player with a gaming laptop but I do own a PS Portal and the new offering does make their premium service tempting. I've also heard great things about GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud streaming. With appreciation to the vast variety of complications that can affect cloud streaming, would you be interested in making a video comparing the platforms' performance?

DaJaCo (Dan)

Happy Half-Fortnight Lads! In this week's bedtime reading (Nintendo's 61 page financial document) keen-eyed readers spotted that on page 54 they mention their intent to make "developer acquisitions" ! Perhaps they want to build their intelligent systems or take things to the next level; certainly they could do worse than buying mercury steam in the midst of their current mercurial miasma.. . BUT WHO ELSE do you think they should have their eye on.. ? ..for the sake of gaming.. for the sake of humanity.. Lest there be ever more moribund; deserving, Kyoto-coded candidates!??

DaJaCo (Dan)

So Lads.. While the "Age of Imprisonment" may have ended for Digital Foundry; it seemingly persists for Hyrule Warriors, and GTA VI. As Rockstar are "rocked" by leaks, lay-offs, controversy; and yet more delay, how do you see this affecting the final game, is more time and polish ALWAYS good news, and will they now defintely-not mess up their PSSR implementation?

gluGPU

Hello Digital Founders! I stumbled across a twitter post where someone was creating a path tracer specializing in spectral rendering, which is supposed to give more accurate color reproduction for minimal perf loss. I was wondering if DF would be open to exploring more niche topics in rendering as part of the "Tech Focus" series of videos, or if that's not on the table.

Kim

Hey, DF! (This may not be a new discussion on the podcast, so sorry in advance for my poor memory.) There are many examples of popular console or PC games eventually ported to mobile. But what about popular games on mobile that “graduate” and adapt well to console and PC? Or release and are supported simultaneously across low‐ and high‐power platforms? Ones I can think of off the top of my head are Roblox, Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero, Fortnite, Call of Duty Warzone (though they're not the games I actually play and pay much attention to myself). Any other examples…? I understand the consumer mindset and the monetisation on mobile is not the same, but if big game development is becoming more and more difficult to stay sustainable financially, and mobile is the largest addressable market, why not make “traditional” games with iOS and Android as the baseline from day one of development (rather than an afterthought years later), and scale up for console and PC players? Build up, rather than squeeze down? (Or, perhaps something more fathomable and less of a stretch: build a base experience optimised around Switch, which is also popular, and then enhance with additional NPC density, LoDs, lighting, textures etc on Xbox/PlayStation/PC.)

StrugglingShader

Hi guys, with the recent/upcoming releases of PvZ Replanted and Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection with separate SKUs for Switch 1 and Switch 2 I'm torn. I kept a Switch OLED alongside a Switch 2, so if I buy the Switch 2 version I wouldn't have access to the superior screen, the switch 1 version on the other hand, is forwards compatible, but not optimized. Those are old games, that should have no issues running well on Switch 1 hardware, but you don't get the higher output benefits of the Switch 2... And in that subject, for retro collections like MK, can developers take advantage of higher resolutions to make better CRT filters? Is that something I should worry about when picking up Switch 1 versions of games?

StrugglingShader

Quick question: any plan on covering the recent fast and furious arcade port? Comparisons between plataforms, against Cruis'n blast (Hong Kong track is perfect for that) and the 2022 original release... If not, maybe this question is the perfect opportunity to mention it in this week DF Direct!

StrugglingShader

Good evening gentlemen! Are you guys using game chat? I've been finding it to be the best online multiplayer experience I've ever had. My 6 year old son is bonding to my brother that lives abroad, through watching each other playing and talking (with essencial reading help in tears of the kingdom). My DF question is about resolutions in the reduced screen. Does it still render in docked settings? Like in the very rare 4K game, does it supersample down to whatever the resolution of the window for my gameplay?

shedi1982

Hello chaps! With the new update to the Playstation portal allowing you to stream games without your ps5 now do you think that with some of the new features including being able to see the internet stability, changing the resolution etc. Do you think this is a precursor to the new sony handheld? Thanks in advance

trent howell

What are you guys playing in your own time these days?

(Don’t be a) Richard

How concerned might Microsoft be that a new Steam Deck and possibly a Steam Box could see Valve stealing attention away from an Xbox transition to Windows. Satya Nadella himself has called Valve out as arguably winning the digital marketplace race for PC thus far. Valves not the only one selling gaming devices in the PC space of course, but unlike Asus, MSI etc, they own the dominant storefront and ship a Linux OS where MSs ability to build in MS apps and sell on services to end users is very limited. Couple Xbox decline in reputation with the general love of Steam, it seems MS is a bit of a vulnerable position in this segment. On the flip side, a successful MS transition of Xbox to Windows looks to still be good business for Valve who will still be selling games through their platform. By doing something different to Sony, are they setting themselves up for a more direct competition with Valve?

Snorlax cat

So now that gta6 is delayed again, do you think will see some Sony games appear at last?

CottonBird

If a console game can't render at native resolution, it can scale along the same aspect ratio (such as 1600x900), or only on one axis (1440x1080). Is there a reason why a game would want one over the other? Does it matter? And if it does, do you have a personal preference between the two?

The Shadow-Map

Greetings digital foundry. There are 458,784,000 frames in GTAVI between its old release date and its new release date. What do you think Rockstar plans to accomplish in this many frames before launch? Thanks

Ruben B.

This is how I discovered GTA 6 got delayed again 💀

Ruben B.

Hello Digital Foundry, I would love to hear you talk about the supposed union busting at Rockstar. It's a weird story. Why is crunch still a thing in 2025? Shouldn't developers keep the scope of games in hand?

10 Watts Raytracing

Hello guys! I wonder what made development costs of games balloon so much since the last 15 years. Since Crysis in 2007, visual improvements have been somewhat modest in the eyes of non-experts. That game only took 3 years to develop, and since then, our GPUs are orders of magnitude beefier. We also have PBR rendering and raytracing, which were supposed to make development faster. So why does hardware like a PS5 sometimes chokes on a AAA today, if 80% of its visual quality could be obtained by CryEngine 2's developers on a 8800GTX? It feels like the "visual quality per teraFLOPS" and the "visual quality per development dollar" both fell off a cliff.

digitalfoundry

R* don't typically talk tech with journalists, sorry Alan!

Snorlax cat

Very sad indeed, devs & Publishers are gonna have to shuffle a lot of stuff now. This people should not commit until they have their stuff right.

WaveMaster

I used to buy at least 1 physical switch game every other week before Switch 2 Key Cards were a thing. I've bought a total of two Switch 2 (and 1) physical games since the Switch 2 came out. Donkey Kong Bananza. And Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3&4, which I wrongfully thought I could upgrade via a paid path in Eshop but unfortunately, there's no such path. THPS3&4 switch 2 physical is only a code in a box. If they keep it up like this my purchase of Switch 2 games will be significantly lower than what I used to buy for Switch 1. Why are developers so loathe to put actual game on the physical cart? 75% of Cyberpunk sales for Switch 2 were physical.

DaJaCo (Dan)

I wonder if some CPU tasks are offloaded to chip in the dock, allowing them to just set the console CPU clock based on an ideal thermal cap instead, creating more headroom for boosting GPU clocks.. ? Would be very interesting to actually know.. perhaps from future interviews with nintendo or their close developement partners..?

DaJaCo (Dan)

Perhaps A.I avatars generated from all of the thousands of DF videos around by then. Like an episode of Black Mirror.

DaJaCo (Dan)

Its likely not a specific performance issue with the acceleration of that effect - but more a question of which visual features have the most and least visual impact in portable mode, and for the specific style of visuals in their title.

DaJaCo (Dan)

Get something to measure the humidity up there, and if its more than you'd like, maybe add a vent brick or two to the gable ends or other vents elsewhere? Sounds like you are probably fine already with vacuum packing though. Have you considered a full loft conversion.. i.e. stick a dormer or two on, insulate, board and floor it all properly so you have another room?

DaJaCo (Dan)

Perhaps they could do a video made purely of "off-cuts".

Nathan

Will we ever get back to a place of simple, easy, plug-in-and-play console style gaming? I’ve been getting into my retro collection recently and it is a breath of fresh air putting a disc into my 360 or PS2 and just playing - no EULAs, no online services agreement, no mandatory sign in with a third party online account, no “your session has ended because we can’t connect to the internet” in single player. It seems like we’re moving backward with the trend towards Xbox being a PC, endless setup screens on first run, and even Switch 2 games like THPS34 putting up barriers, not to mention game key cards.

Phil

Hey Crew. Are Obsidian currently the premier UE5 developer? I assume they receive substantial support from Epic and The Coalition, but regardless, their games use the full suite of UE5 features, look relatively sharp across various consoles and perform well, including 30, 40 and 60fps modes. But more importantly, releasing 2 massive RPGs in a year showing how efficient they are at using the game building tools. In a world full of poor performing open world *and* narrow linear UE5 games, Obsidian always manages to reach a satisfactory quality level with few complaints or bugs, even If I find their artistic choices a little bland at times. Cheers, Phil

Mr Bespoke

Hi DF Crew! With the release or shall I say "re release" of Red Dead Redemption with some improvements and free upgrades to previous version of the game, could we see the likes of other devs do the same thing? Like if Square Enix where to follow in Rocks Star's shoes and re release FF XIII trilogy with a more native port to modern consoles With higher bit-rate cut scenes, a higher frame rate boost of 60fps and native 4K resolution. What games from the 2010s do you think should have this kind of treatment from other devs? Thanks and keep up the awesome work!!
