We weren't particularly kind to the PC version of Monster Hunter Wilds at launch and to be frank, not much has changed for the better in the eight months since. However, an RE Framework mod has proven to deliver demonstrably superior performance and more consistent frame-times for 8GB GPU users looking to use the more visually pleasing high texture preset. And remarkably, it involves using uncompressed assets. Alex has the story.

I use this mod myself. It’s insane that the asset culling and streaming is so bad that the fix is to just manually decompress the assets and let those sit on storage instead to save time when G Deflate wreaks havoc on your system

Totally unrelated, but any plans for taking a look at the Yakuza 1/2 Switch 2 ports? They seem pretty solid!

Great video. Does this also improve perf with RT enabled

We can only hope this becomes an organic menu option in the major DLC planned!
