Quite pumped for this. Great video, John!

Do we know if the full game is on the cartridge yet? Want to know if I should go and secure a physical copy.

Same, I want to avoid spoilers though. Thinking about playing a few hours before watching it.

Fantastic review by John! Very refreshing to see a highly polished game being released, while running with a locked 60fps or even 120fps! Also, I was glad to hear about the superb HDR implementation, thanks for mentioning that.

Man, this review has MS contemplating buying a Switch 2. Though, I’ll be waiting for a Switch 2 oled…

Fantastic analysis - less gameplay and content spoilers in future please 🙏

This definitely got me excited about the game even more. I love that Nintendo consoles are where developer efforts shine. I love the fact that they’re able to make something that looks this coherent and performs well in an underpowered hardware by using techniques that reduce power draw. You rly need to be a great developer and have a good art direction to do that. Constraints and limitations can be good in art. Because it forces the artists to be creative, and that’s what I love about the Switch and the Deck. (Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate tech advancements as long as the developers take full advantage of them ie Cyberpunk 2077, Alan Wake 2 and recent Ubisoft games)

Great Video, think art style wise this might be the best looking game this year love it.

Any chance of a switch 1 tech review, now the embargo is lifted?

I cannot confirm the full game, but it appears to start from a card, though I am letting the patch install before playing.

With acknowledgement that my memory might be faulty, I don't believe Prime 1 was quite as intricately interwoven as John's opining here; truly, upon playing the remaster recently, I found the "ya can't get there from here" nature of the environments to be...infuriating in a way that I didn't 20-some-odd years ago, before we had examples of other 3D exploration games solving those problems differently. I look forward to my copy arriving so I can have First Hand Opinions!
