Hey everyone, John here.

I haven't posted for a while but I wanted to share at least a little something with everyone! I'm hard at work on the next episode of DF Retro set to release this Sunday but I thought it would be fun to share the introduction for the episode for anyone interested in a small taste of what's to come!

This also should give you a little insight into building these episodes. Basically, when I work on an episode of DF Retro, there's a process that I go through. I always start with capturing/playing the games in question - and sometimes this can take a LOT of time since you need to go through and capture many different versions. For a game like RE2, this is pretty challenging. After that, it's all about filming the b-roll inserts and starting the script which I usually write in small chunks.

So the reason I have an intro finished is simply because I work better when jumping between tasks. So taking a break from script writing to start the edit is great since it gives me something to build from. I made this intro in about 2 hours - just sort of fiddling around with my assets, the music and what I wanted to say. It's always important to try and do something fun for an introduction, I think - at least for myself. It helps kick the project off!

As of writing I have about seven minutes fully edited but have a lot left to go! Can't wait to return in a few days with the final product and I hope everyone enjoys it!

sweet. though do me a favor.. either shift the mic away from your mouth a lil more or adjust your pop filter cause this lil snippet, and many other vid's you do, are very laden with blowing on the mic as you talk.

Awesome! Still my favorite part of the series, really curious about the episode. "It's up to us to take out Umbrella" :D

Including the Game.Com version is insane

This is a good comment. I can't hear this at all on my desktop but watching on my home theater system, I see exactly what you mean. I've struggled with audio the most and am terrible at it but I'll see if I can improve it at all.
