Welcome to the Digital Foundry Supporter Program! Way back in 2016, we launched a Patreon that was essentially a video delivery system - and not much more. Over the years, the feedback we received was that Patrons weren't just interested in video downloads, they wanted to get closer to the team, they wanted to support us as creators. When our Discord went live, we were blown away by the positive community, the engagement and the support.

Today's revamp is inspired by all of this. The Supporter Program is Digital Foundry Max: in addition to the standard tier that stays pretty much as it is, we're also offering a premium tier that offers access to bonus material, behind the scenes content, some of our 'R&D' work, plus early access in the future to key content like Tech Focus. Join the premium tier today and you'll see some of our raw Bloodborne PS5 1080p60 captures and their 4K AI upscaled equivalents. Rich shows off some AI upscaling using the E3 2000 Metal Gear Solid 2  trailer with some remarkable results, while we revisit 2010 and 'remaster' our original Final Fantasy 13 Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 captures - available at OG 720p and sensitively scaled to look great on a 4K screen.

And we're hoping that your support can fund a new and revitalised DF Retro - the area of Digital Foundry that needs the most investment to be all it can be. John's new Quake episode gives you some idea of the supreme level of research and high-end production values we're looking to deliver here. Join today and you'll get access to this incredible piece of work, while you'll also gain access to John and Audi's new Retro Corner show. Of course, supporting this high-end tier also gives you access to all the other perks and benefits from the Premium Supporter and Supporter tiers too.

We've spent months building up to this moment and can't wait to see what you think of it, but let us just sign off by saying thanks to our existing Patreon supporters. A lot of today's work has all come about through discussions with you over the last few months (in fact, the Classic FPS Remastered series was a supporter idea!) and we hope you enjoy what we have to offer.

Interested to see what the future holds. Good stuff everyone!

bjorktribe

Glad to see you grow beyond your expectations!

RealTime Shade Thrower

hopped on here earlier today to see if your new setup was live. It wasn't. I was sad. Wondered if I should back the old setup. Didn't. Got your update email a few hours later... and here I am! Keep up the great work. Although I'll have to disagree with Mr. Stockton: you almost lost me at FF XIII... (I'm of the SNES is the best console ever generation)

Joshua Pahlke

Seeing this finally made me join :) And I hope many more people do to.

Shithauser

Yep i'm in, seems like quite a bit more work for you though - don't overdo it :)

Mat Azel

not nagging or anything, just my personal opinion, would have been ok with a 10€ sub for DF Retro as it actually would interest me a lot more than the rest. I'll pass for now, but why not do 3x5$ tier and one with all 3 ? I love you guys content, keep up the good work, I'm glad to see this taking off :)

Sir Everest

Is the Patreon exclusive retro content made available later on to other Patreon tiers or is it for $15 eyes only?

Tobias Håkansson

This is the first time ever im going on Patreon. But it sure as hell is worth it. I love the DF content, and I love how passionate you guys are. Keep ut the good work!

tyrsir

Great question! I just recently joined DF Patreon to support especially the Retro stuff. I can't afford 10 extra dollars and would miss out completely on the new retro corner. :')

Allan Lindqvist

Can't do the $15 one without eating up the budget for the other creators i support :( i feel bad but i have to stop at premium even though I love df retro

I’m happy to be here supporting your work. I always learn a lot with DF’s tech videos. I specially love the IdTech 7 review John did.

Joined also. Love the DF content and wanted to support the team

Will

Often watch your videos on YouTube, not after the extra content, just love what you're doing and feel guilty getting such quality content for free!

Sancezzio

Upgraded to premium - I watch every DF video going so glad to support even more. Keep up the great work

TheWirv

Honestly, I love that DF Retro gets its own tier, and selfishly, I gotta say that I'm also happy to see that it's the more expensive one. I love to support you guys as much as I can, but I'm also on a more or less tight budget and I couldn't care less about retro games, so this is all perfect for me personally. Love it, keep up the great work, guys! ❤️

Have pledged premium, as am keen to support it. Looking forward to all the new content. Started the day off watching the new Ratchet and Clank State of Play and also this, and oh my! that footage is looking glorious.

Sir Everest

Yeah some clarification would be appreciated. John and Audi talked briefly about this in a recent chat, can't remember which, and said something like "everything will be available to everyone eventually". But I could be mistaken.

Matt Ward

Great stuff - I've upgraded to the DF Retro Supporter tier. I'm looking forward to all the new content that you've got planned 🙂

Andrew Basso

Just became supporter for now, I will upgrade in the future when life gets back to normal, love your content! Keep up the great work!
