Coming This Week on Digital Foundry (Week 9, 2022) (Patreon)
Content
Hi there, it's Monday, the DF #content meeting has concluded and we can now share what's cooking for the week. There's plenty going on, lots of top games to discuss, and some interesting news to follow up on. Has Valve really fixed Elden Ring on Steam Deck?!
* Tom is working on the console versions of Elden Ring, kicking off with Series X/S and PlayStation 5, with breakdowns of all modes - and maybe some comparisons with the Network Test. After that, he's likely to move on to current-gen analysis of the game.
* John has completed the first of two videos on Gran Turismo 7, which will run in a couple of days. This one is the big tech review, which is looking great. The next project there is the cross-platform comparison - PS4, Pro, PS5 - where we have something pretty cool lined up. Beyond that? The next big episode of DF Retro.
* Alex aims to answer the question: has the Halo Infinite patch fixed the problems we've been discussing since the flighting period?
* Rich (ie me) has more Steam Deck stuff for you, starting with the question of how well Elden Ring runs on the Deck and whether Valve's 'bleeding edge' Proton optimisations have overcome the issues that plague the PC version.
* Audi is polishing up the new DF Retro Pick-Ups episode, while also concentrating on - you guessed it - the next big episode of DF Retro.
* Oliver has just finished up a next-gen console analysis of Assetto Corsa Competizione and will be moving on to the Assassin's Creed Ezio Collection for Nintendo Switch!
Should be a busy week then. Thanks for supporting Digital Foundry and I hope you have a good week too!
