Hi everyone, apologies for the lateness of this one - as so much of the source material from Developer_underscore_Direct was in 4K, Oliver opted to make this a 4K video! UPDATE: The 4K video took around 14 hours to process but is now ready, replacing the 1080p placeholder we have. Please note that comments do not transition across from one video to the other.

Here's the blurb: Microsoft's latest Developer_Direct makes the right impression with the DF team this week, with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle in particular attracting unrestricted praise. Meanwhile, we've got to talk about what's happening with physical media releases on Xbox, there are many questions to answer about the Nvidia RTX 40-series Super refresh and John's not happy about Bulletstorm VR.

And to conclude, here's the usual block of text that points out that if you're new to the DF Supporter Program and want early podcast access to DF Direct Weekly, you should ignore any Patreon links elsewhere and click like crazy here for your exclusive feed: https://open.acast.com/public/patreon/fanSubscribe/593963

Just a heads up, the chapter marker for Hellblade 2 says physical-only instead of digital-only

Julian Shniter

There is an error in the timestamps for the video description. It says hellblade 2 going physical only when it should say digital only

Avowed has the same thing that bugged me about Outer Worlds. If you're going to have blood just dial it up a bit more. If none of it falls on the environment it feels weird and disconnected. Maybe what I want out of Obsidian being more mature is because of FO: New Vegas. I'd prefer more realistic combat. There is no visible damage on the models. It just makes combat feel so fake and dialed down. Like they want to target T rated games to get a wider audience. IDK if that's a weird gripe but I just want to see the effects of combat on the character and the world. If they just did a little more blood, had some land on the ground and use some slash/hit art on the enemy models I'd be happy

What happens when the next PlayStation comes out and they wanna do LOU pt2 remastered again? Lmao Re-Remastered? LOU-pt2-Remastered-pt2 ??

Last of Us Part 1 PC port's minimum spec requirement is a GTX 970! haha I'm sure going back to 9 or 10 series would be abysmal

Hopefully 4K DF_Direct can become a future standard but I guess that would require a hardware upgrade to a higher end setup to cut down on the time to process it for the You Tubes.

To beat the TLOUP2R horse a bit more, I just dislike paying for what boils down to a resolution increase and a frame rate cap. Neither Microsoft nor any PC game paywalls increased resolutions and framerates on their older games. Imagine owning HL2 but having to pay Steam $10 so you could play at a resolution above 800x600! /rant

Heads up - the video freezes for me at 1:39:34 for about 10 seconds.

on the move to adorably all digital... I bought a Series X at the beginning of this generation and sold it a week later due to the discs not containing actual games. I already have a WinPC, I don't need my console to be cuddly wuddly. Switch + PS5 it is...
