Hello there - it's the beginning of another week, the fourth of 2024 in fact, based on the headline above... so what have we got cooking for you in the Digital Foundry forge? Well, the #content meeting kicked off as usual on 9:30am and this is a report of those proceedings.

* Rich (ie me) is working on the RTX 4070 Ti Super Max Turbo: Hyper Fighting - Egregious Edition review. Due to circumstances outside of my control, I'm not sure we'll be able to hit the embargo, but let's see what happens eh? Beyond that, I guess it's 4080 Super (which hasn't arrived yet) before circling back to a range of unfinished projects... John really wants to know how well The Last of Us Part 1 runs on a Radeon 7 for some reason!

* John is working on Tekken 8 and in an act of masochism, spent some time playing the PC version of Palworld. His 'first contact' responses will be posted later on today to all DF supporters in an hour long video!

* Alex is finishing up his work on FSR3 and the DLSS3 to FSR3 mod that's out there... which, curiously, only works on Nvidia hardware. Still, is it good enough for older RTX users to stave off an upgrade? Beyond that? How about a new Tech Focus initially entitled: TAA - Hero or Menace?

* Tom is putting his work on an Xbox vs PlayStation cloud showdown on hold to tackle - yes, we're doing it - Palworld on Xbox Games Pass.

* Oliver is finishing up his look at the Steam Deck HD 1200p screen upgrade, and he's also delivered a video on the Ace Attorney remasters! That goes live tomorrow with early access today.

* Will continues his sterling work on Eurogamer, where we have some new CPUs currently in test. Kinda outside of usual DF work, he's also reviewing CounterStrike 2 for Eurogamer!

That's where we're at for now, but do let us know if there are any projects you feel we should be looking at and any games you feel we might have missed. We're eagerly looking forward to Suicide Squad since none of us have actually played it yet... but no review code on that one yet.

In the meantime, I hope you all have a fantastic week!

Looking forward to the FSR3 video, as well as the TAA tech focus. Also I am intrigued to watch John's first contact on palworld, as it is a game that I haven't tried, but willing to see more.

“First contact” - John, if your employer is forcing you to converse with aliens, wear yellow in your next video. #FreeLinneman

Radeon 7 came with HBM2, which gave the GPU a whopping 4096-bit memory bus. I’m a reality where $1k GPU are coming with 192/256-bit memory bus(ses?), does it really make a difference? In what circumstances can this configuration stretch its legs?

I haven't paid too much attention to the FSR3 mods, but I am surprised to hear it only works on Nvidia, I thought AMD users have it working on at least some games? Although I seem to remember that they have to disable all overlays

Happy to see a tech focus video in the works. It's been a while. I appreciate all the insights when that type of video drops.

RTX 4070 Ti Super Max Turbo: Hyper Fighting - Egregious Edition is the best title ever

Will you be covering the Xbox port of Octopath Traveler 2?

Full House's very own John SteamOS

Still eagerly awaiting Outer Wilds on Switch. My mind still boggles as to how that runs on a Switch given the sheer weight of physical systems happening in the background. Interview with devs would be the dream!
