Hi everyone, the new DF Direct Weekly is here - however - please note that the embed above is 1080p and will be replaced with a 4K version sometime on Sunday. As we have a lot of 4K footage, we wanted to make this a full resolution presentation, but at the same time we didn't want to delay the episode, so we made a lower quality 1080p vid that would sale through YT processing. [UPDATE: we've now made the swap for the final 4K version, and a 4K download is now available.]

With that out of the way, let's talk blurb: It's another big, big episode of DF Direct Weekly as the team share their positive views on Sony's State of Play January 2024 presentation. Meanwhile, John and Rich have been playing Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and have much to say about it. The team also tackle the mounting evidence that Switch 2 will ship with an eight-inch LCD. The lack of OLED is a bit disappointing, but more to the point, the sheer size of the screen may have significant ramifications for the design of the overall product. And finally, a happy outcome is revealed for one of John's game preservation worries.

And it wouldn't be an early access DF Direct post without the usual block of text that points out that if you're new to the DF Supporter Program and want early podcast access to DF Direct Weekly, you should ignore any Patreon links elsewhere and click here for your exclusive feed: https://open.acast.com/public/patreon/fanSubscribe/593963

Great stuff! The video description has some typeos in the news numbers, no biggie just letting you know :)

I love how John's background is starting look like he's in hell, rather than in front of a cozy fireplace.

In regards to the physint. sign shown at the recording studio w/ kojima. Physint. is an abbreviation for physical intelligence. For example, corporate espionage. Stealing physint. could mean physical documents, usb sticks, etc. That’s my best guess. Not a huge reveal for the game considering he calls it an espionage game.

The Until Dawn remake is being done by a new team of former Supermassive Developers, who I heard, along with Sony, had issues after with Supermassive leadership. My guess is they’re gonna get the sequel
