Firstly, the way you read my comment was so much cooler than how it sounded in my head. So, genuinely thanks for that. Secondly, I think I was the "like" on that "unpopular opinion" by Boss. I do like the original casting, but McCoy and Fassbender are amazing. The fact is, you don't even have to make a comparison because they are the same characters played by the perfect actors in both instances.

I was being serious about the subtitles thing! I definitely want that to happen but I was only bringing up Parasite for context, as the guy who passed away isn't in anything else that's quite as notable (or, as far as I know, anything in English). Not that it will change how you approach which one to watch, but I will say I was also mentioning that The Wolverine has a director's cut. I think the fans could go either way on that one, but I definitely prefer it (The Wolverine is one of the X-Men movies I have stronger feelings about), and it has one of the most memorable extensions/alterations to any movie in an alternate cut that I have ever seen. As for The Rogue Cut I think you already get the vibe but I get the impression that for many this is the *only* cut to watch. That said, it might also be so significantly different that it would be an instance where it would be worth watching the second cut in a year or something, after you're done with the X-Men movies, if it ends up being the theatrical. (I only saw the movie in theaters, so I have no preference and cannot say for sure, although I have been kind of thinking about watching Cassie's reaction, which is the longer version.)

I had such a blast geeking out over First Class and my favorite fanfic duo! I find Xavier’s actors very attractive as well, but not as Xavier. I have always found Stewart most attractive as Captain Jean-Luc Picard. I’m a casual Trekkie, and knew him as the good Captain long before he portrayed the passive Professor. Funnily enough, it was Graham Norton interviews and “Split” that opened my eyes to the sexiness of McAvoy. Thank you again for providing such a fun & welcoming space for all of us to share our common interests and gush over talented, hot celebrities!!! Have a great start to the week!
