So where Jonas appeared in 1921 is right where he was in the future. Time travel only travels through time not space you end up in the same spot you left but in a different time.

I always felt that the place Adam and Jonas are in the end of the episode is not 1921. The dwelling looks like the tunnel in the cave. Almost like it is outside of time, outside the loop.
