Not only was this one a Reactr request, but when I uploaded Wreck-It Ralph to the channel I had a few people recommend this one. Thanks for the request! I'm looking forward to your thoughts, especially from my fellow gamers! Please enjoy. [Direct link here.]

Ha! Omg. I just watched this for the first time last night! I know…what timing, right? 🤣 I had a load of fun with this film, though I’m sure I missed a ton of the Easter eggs and references. Still, I’m sure this will be a fun watch with you in the seat — I might even learn a few things. 👍🏼😉

I loved the chemistry between Ryan and Jodie. So playful and cute with the right amount of tension that didn't feel overplayed or underwhelming. Oh, if NPCs could tell stories. This was a great representation of all the shit NPCs are "put through" and used the "escape the system" trope in a unique way. The best part however is Taika Waititi's exaggerated evil CEO that causes just as many laughs as he does facepalms. "I don't care if he's Arnold Frickin' Schwarzenvader" lives rent free in my head. Chris Evans wins best cameo award? Oh and all the modding! I loved the fun it had making fun of mods and cheats! Free Guy really went all-in with the references. I mean, at this point it was just about a done deal with Disney buying them. What were they gonna do, sue themselves?

Death Lego

I did enjoy this when I saw it. Looking forward to a rewatch at some point. I'll add it to the list.

Yes, so many things! I'm sure I'll notice a lot more whenever I rewatch.

It's blocking me at moment, I'm assuming it's related to that message you sent on the 4th of November.

Hi Daryl, sorry I made an error with this watchalong. It's been fixed on my site, you can access now!

I remember looking forward to this movie in early 2020, before Covid. I made sure to see it in the theater, and thoroughly enjoyed it, even though I'm not a big gamer. So yeah, I missed some of the Easter eggs, but it's just a fun movie!

I feel Jodie Comer is a massively underrated actress. Her ability to produce accents is crazy as neither accent in the movie is her real one. She naturally has a strong Liverpool accent. It's a skill she used throughout the tv show "Killing Eve" where I've seen comments of native speakers being impressed by her ability to produce regional accents while speaker other languages.

It is very fun! Extra fun for gamers, but still fun for people who aren't.

Jodie Comer became one of my fave actresses last year and I believe this was her first big movie, though she did play Rey's mom in The Rise of Skywalker and appeared for like 30 seconds lol and now this just makes me want to see you react to the tv show Killing Eve just to see how amazing she is!
