Another poll this week! Lucky for y'all. Miles won our Member of the Month draw for June and submitted two movies for a poll for his win! This poll will also close at end of day Sunday, just like the other one this week.

Happy Voting!

Let me use this opportunity for saying thank you KL for all the great content and hard work you put into your channel and more! It has been a blast editing for you and it's been fun to get to know you and the community. The people here, on Youtube, in the Discord and elsewhere are truly awesome and I am happy to be a part of it all. Couldn't be happier to have found you and your viewers.

Movies with KL

Aww thank you Miles! This channel and Patreon certainly wouldn't be where it currently is without all of your help. 😊 And I agree, the spaces have some pretty dang cool people and I'm so grateful that I get to chat with such awesome folks daily. Y'all are the bestest.

I expect Get Out to win, but there are two versions of The Mist. The content is exactly the same, but the second version presents the film in black-and-white. If Miles has a preference, I'm sure he'll let you know, but FWIW, I love the B&W version. It wouldn't mean as much to you since you haven't seen this movie, but I think the B&W evokes the tone and vibe of the original Night of the Living Dead (1968). In general, I find the most effective contemporary movies with B&W versions are those that create this kind of dotted line between themselves and a classic movie, like Johnny Mnemonic (1995) with Alphaville (1965), and Parasite (2019) with The Housemaid (1960). There are also B&W versions of Logan (2017) and Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), but the choice to turn these films B&W seemed arbitrary and wrong, comparatively, as Logan (as a movie) is openly paying tribute to a classic Western that is in color, Shane (1953), and Mad Max: Fury Road is largely defined by its blazing orange deserts and solid blue nights, as well as fiery explosions and "The Green Place."

I'm gonna have to see Get Out before I cast my vote because it's been on my list for a minute and I've heard many good things.

Both are interesting movies. Jordan Peele really has a interesting style that I think you will enjoy so I voted for get out tho if mist wins that is ok too.
