This show is really slow feeding us more info and details and while it feels like I'm making more sense of this mystery, I know that there's still much more to come.

Very excited to keep continuing and thank you so much for joining me for it! [Direct link here.]

I never looked at the license plates nor the police patches to see where it takes place. It took me much longer to realize the town is called "Keir." But, I'd already put this show in "alternate universe" category when they said that Lumon had been around since the 1800s and does a lot of different things. Didn't occur in our timeline hence, alternate timeline. When Irving first came back from his wellness session, he mentioned meeting Burt and Dillon said that he'd met him before and that he was a fuck. Irving said, "He is not a fuck!"😂 So, now we find out that he's adversarial with Optics & Design because he thinks they perpetrated a violent coup, some point in the past.

How Devon fell for Ricken is one mystery I'll never solve LOL opposites attract I guess!

This is also my first watch of this series. I don’t think Mrs. Selvig has an innie and an outie. I think she’s an executive with knowledge of what the company is doing and for some reason is manipulating Mark for reasons we don’t yet know. Helly is my favorite character. She so determined and I’m rooting for her. I think the company is lying and her Outie was not consulted. But I’m also curious why she chose to be severed. Mark had a good reason, though in reality he’s not forgetting his wife during his work hours, he doesn’t know her. And in is outie time he seems to have has distractions or things to look forward to so severing damaging in the long run. At least that’s how I see it. Anyway, loving watching this with your reactions and queries along side my own. What a trip so far. Somehow you have subverted my enthusiasm and I’m looking forward to Severance over the Defenders reactions, which I’ve been looking forward to for a long time!

Ayy thanks for watching along for the first time too! Yeah I'm very curious what's up with Selvig and I'm glad you are liking Helly a lot too!

I'm so curious about Optics & Design and ngl mainly because Christopher Walken is acting a character who is part of it haha.

There's such a major satirical element to the show. Like as bizarre and extreme as this Kier world is, it's also very much a real reflection of our world, and the work/life balance we're all trying to achieve. Every job/career is a bit culty when you step back and really examine what's happening and who's profiting, and which employees we all know that are flirting with reprimands that can lead inevitably to serious consequences for their personal life.

Yes, the satire at play here is fascinating and I'm digging it a lot.

Have you finished the first season yet?

Their relationship is kind of hilarious.

There seems to be such a hard line between the people that love and are obsessed with the show, and people that can't get into it all. Some seem to refuse to give it a chance, and I'm not totally sure why.

I know I hate when things don't make sense for too long but as long as they answer some short term things in the meantime I'm happy.
