A tough episode to watch at times, not gonna lie. But nice to see some of what Frank had to deal with. I forget a lot of specific convos from Daredevil, but what happened here had to be mentioned at some point, right?

Feel free to remind me. 😅 Appreciate you all watching and enjoy! [Direct link here.]

Quick confirmation. Yes they spoke about this episode flashback in Frank's court episode of Daredevil.

We needed some time with Frank and Micro because this episode is all about putting trust in people to help you and Frank is the last guy to do that after all he has been through. Remember how long it took him to trust Matt and Karen. He is not a guy who lets his guard down easily. Micro had to show him quickly that they are fighting the same war and had to use Frank's own tactics to make him understand. The show really is violent and a trigger for some people especially if you have any military background.

In the comics Frank as often depicted metaphorically as the grim reaper. Or sometimes literally. So when Scoonover says “you reap what you sow eh Frank?” Frank replies “I’m gonna do some reaping of my own” Also whe karen investigating franks shooting, they talk about how Frank refused to die even after the plus was pulled. That was also a nod to his strange connection with death.

This is one of my favorite episodes in the entire show. The flashbacks they showcased help us to better understand Frank and David and why they turned out the way they did. Also, Frank isn’t a funny guy but he’s so good at being an asshole to another asshole that I can’t help but laugh.
