Yea that Curtis/Lewis fight was unpleasant I think everyone thought for sure Lewis killed him but I guess he still had some sort of conscience. I personally have never had or been around people who own guns so I don't have much to say on gun control but you are right that this episode seems to be showing both sides of the argument. Lewis is a parallel to Frank. They are both not mentally well and angry because of PTSD from their trauma and military experiences and they both express that violently but Frank draws the line at killing innocent people. Like he told Lewis he is not a coward he confronts the people he wants to hurt directly. Excited for the rest of the season.

So...just clarifying something that it seems that you maybe didn't catch (there was a LOT going on in the scene, 0 judgment here)... Lewis planned to call the cops to the house where Curt was and, when they showed up, then he would call the cell rigged to the daisy-chained Claymores (the M18A1 anti-personnel mines that say "Front Toward Enemy" on them...not really IEDs as IEDs are homemade, not mass-produced for the military...ultimately unimportant, but just sharing the knowledge). Calling the bomb squad wasn't an option because he would have just set it off when they got there. This episode is one of my absolute faves. Between Frank's reaction with David when he realizes Karen is in danger, to the convo with Curt and the monologue about what led up to Curt losing his leg...all just great stuff. The radio interview scene always makes me chuckle, too. Frank's little asides are gold.
