Hello everyone! First of all, a big welcome to all of the new members who have joined over the last month and a bit! Thank you so much for choosing to be here. 🥰 I have returned from my vacay to Europe and I'm feeling incredibly refreshed. Exploring new places and cultures is so good for the soul - my soul, at least. And it had been far too long. I'll include some info and photos below for those who are interested, but first let's talk about what reactions are coming next. 😊

While I was away, I had 10 edits completed for me (and some of these were Patreon Exclusive reactions, woop woop). However, 9 of them have been copyright blocked, womp womp. And a lot of them are blocked by companies who like to take a long time to action disputes/appeals and the like. 👎🏻 So forgive me if the early access and YouTube schedule for the next little bit is not as rock solid as September was. 😅

For Movie Watchers: I'm kicking off October strong with my two chosen horror movie flicks: The Exorcist (1973) and It Chapter Two (2019). I will also be sharing my reaction to Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018).

While I'm here, thanks to all of you who voted in the Horror Poll, which is now concluded. The winners were The Fly (1986) and Final Destination (2000). The Fly will release here on Patreon next week and FD will release the week after.

For TV Insiders: we're continuing with Severance (2x05) and we'll be wrapping up the rest of The Punisher this week (1x11 - 1x13).

📢 For Movie and TV tier members, click here to enter the November Member of the Month draw. You have until the end of day on Thurs Nov 6 to enter.

For Early Birds: you'll see early access to Charade (1963) and Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011), and then one or two other edits but I'm just not sure which ones yet. Weekly polls will be resuming next week, as well. Sorry I just need another week without one since I have so much in my to-watch list at the moment.

For YouTube Viewers: Charade (1963) is likely the only reaction being shared this week and will release on Thursday.

For Twitch folks: after like six weeks of no streams, I will be back this week. 😊 It's been so long since I've gamed. I'll be going live at 18:00 on Wednesday (Dragon Age: The Veilguard) and Thursday (Red Dead Redemption 2).

📝 Reminders / If You're New:

My Reactr page - the space for direct reaction requests - has re-opened with some small adjustments. You'll no longer see offerings as Sold Out unless I go in and make them reflect that. This does mean no more total limits on requests. However, requestors must adhere to the rule of only having one request at a time. If you send in a second request when I haven't yet completed your first, I will decline it. Thank you for your support through Reactr and cheers to the folks who have already sent in requests for me. 🥰

Submit your movie and TV series suggestions for reactions.

Join the Discord server to chat daily with myself and others in the community. The server is open to everyone!

If you're a paid Patreon member, make sure to connect your Discord account to Patreon in order to get access to the Patreon space in my server.

For people who enjoy sending physical gifts, you can do so through my Throne page. This is what I use instead of providing my PO Box directly!

Visit my merch shop!

📢 FYI for Public + Free Members:

If you're only interested in select reactions and don't care to participate in any other benefit of my Patreon, my watchalongs can be obtained without a membership. You can visit my Shop tab or my Collections tab to directly purchase what you want. Make sure to check out one of my free watchalongs so you know how I format them, which is the sync-your-own-copy format.

TV series that I've recently started become available for purchase once I am near the end of the season/series. For any in-progress series that aren't actively being watched right now [Daredevil, Agents of SHIELD, etc.], the Collection can be purchased now and you'll receive access to all future reactions added to it. It's already priced with that in mind.

I understand that money can be tight so I am happy to offer the direct purchase option in addition to the memberships. I appreciate support in whichever way works best for you and I hope you enjoy the reactions. 🥰

KL Eurotrip 2025

By the way, I want to watch that Eurotrip movie now.

I took so many photos and I haven't yet properly gone through them all and organized, so this is a small selection of pics.

Amsterdam was one of my favourite parts of my whole trip. It is such a unique city for me, since I come from a life where Car is King. I loved vehicles being the lowest priority there. It was so energizing to be around so many people on bikes and on their two feet. My favourite was seeing parents with their kids in little wagon things on the front of their bikes. I walked an absurd amount of steps, because I loved simply meandering down all the streets, looking in shop windows and looking up at people's apartment window decor. I spent a lot of time walking down the canals and looking at people's houseboats. It was rainy while I was there, so I did sneak away into the Van Gogh Museum for an entire afternoon and that is one of the best museums I've ever been to. And of course, I spent an evening walking the Red Light District and even popped into a five-floor Erotic Museum, which was lots of fun. I took a break from cannabis back in July, which I am still on and quite enjoying, so unfortunately there were no Coffee Shop visits for me this visit, but maybe next time since I will definitely be back one day.

I stuck to traveling the northern half of Germany and spent time in the cities of Cologne/Köln, Hamburg, Kiel, and Berlin, and many smaller cities and towns and villages in between. It's funny how Germany looks like a small country on Google Maps (especially when comparing to Canada), but then when you're there it feels big. 😅 The Cologne Cathedral was breathtaking - it was def one of my bucket list architecture visits and one of my favourite memories. I took a boat tour in Hamburg and for the first time in my life, I saw the largest shipping container up close. What a way to feel so small. It might not seem like a big deal, but for me it was very fun to experience a busy global shipping port. I tried Fischbrötchen, which was delicious. And Käsespätzle became one of my favourite foods ever. I had it three times and I need to learn how to make it so I can keep having it. 😅 And yes, I did also have bratwurst and currywurst. Sadly, I have a love/hate relationship with döners. They were delicious while I was eating them, but then two hours later my gut was like "What the fuck, fuck you for putting this in my body". 😂

On top of all that, traditional German breakfasts were delightful and morning bakery trips became something I looked forward to every morning. I have continued that type of breakfast since I've been home. Although I need to start baking my own rolls because there is nothing that is close to the same at Canadian grocery stores.

Berlin was a little bit of a womp womp situation. At a train transfer, I was going down the stairs into the station and tripped and rolled my already-instable-left-ankle very badly. Oh gosh, writing this now and reflecting back on the pain, I would not wish it on anyone. I had to remove some things I wanted to do in Berlin, but I still managed many thousands of steps while I was there somehow. It was still a good time in the city, despite the pain. Then a few days after the ankle roll, I became pretty sick with a bad cold. 😔 But hey, this is exactly why I am a slow traveler who keeps things flexible so that if I need to spend a few days in a hotel/Airbnb sneezing and coughing all the bodily fluids out, I can do so. 😂 This hurdle resulted in me having to fully abandon the loose plans that I had of visiting Poland, so that country will be on my next trip there.

I could not get enough of the architecture, the old buildings, the CASTLES, the large pedestrian areas in inner cities and towns with so many cafe's and such, and the walkability of it all. And bless the transit system there. I know the locals love to complain about how often there are delays and how awful transit is, but for me coming from Canada, it was a breath of fresh air. With a bit of planning and a ridiculous amount of Google Mapping, being able to get anywhere I wanted to with relative ease and for so cheap (€58 for a monthly transit pass that worked in the whole country) was just so nice. I did not miss driving at all.

I was grateful to be able to meet up with a local that I already know - my editor Miles! Something that I miss about Twitch as my primary platform is meeting online people IRL often, including the ones who have helped me with what I do. I met so many Twitch pals in 2021-2023 and those experiences have sloooowed with doing YouTube full-time, and will even more now that I don't really intend on attending another TwitchCon. So it was very fun to be able to meet up with Miles (and have a tour guide for a few days lol).

With that, here's my personal list of things I'll miss and things I definitely won't miss:

Will Miss:

Food being much less sweet than in North America, even cakes

Pedestrian/cyclist priority and not needing a car

All the cafe's

So many TREES and greenery

How interesting going for walks are because of all the unique architecture

How everyone's homes look immaculate on the outside

Very inexpensive groceries compared to Canada

Won't Miss:

How expensive restaurants are compared to Canada, so I didn't end up doing this very much!

Water being the same price as soda when out and about

Having to pay to use the toilet so much 😭 I don't think I could ever get used to that

WASPS. EVERYWHERE. Get out of my food, you fucks!! I realize this is only a problem during the time of year I chose haha, but now I know for next time. That said, they were not aggressive and acted like flies. They were not like Canadian wasps.

Lots of trash in Amsterdam and Berlin

Alright I think this post has been long enough. 😊 I do plan on doing some live streams soon-ish. I want to go live on YouTube to chat about Breaking Bad before I start releasing Better Call Saul videos (the first of which probably won't happen until November). I also want to go live here on Patreon before month-end to do some chats and Q&A. Stay tuned!

And thanks to everyone for all of your comments on the reactions that went out while I was away, both on Patreon and YouTube. It was fun to pop in every so often and read them and like them. 🥰

Have a great week! 👍🏻

Was lovely meeting you! Glad you had a good time on your trip. And yes, we definitely need a Eurotrip Reaction now!

Vincent Hollow

So with your recent viewing of The Thing, The Fly winning the horror poll, and my submission of The Blob (which I am still giddy over by the way), I believe that you may be the first reactor on YouTube to have watched all three films that are ranked as the best horror remakes of the 80's. And in such a short amount of time too! This is truly a spook-tacular Halloween season!

Onno Smits

Great to read about your vacation. I didn't know you'd be in my neck of the woods! (Though to be fair, even though I've lived in The Netherlands my whole life, I've never actually been to the Amsterdam city center... 😳). You and me are on the same page RE: Döner. One of my favourite foods, but it wrecks me a couple of hours later. 😅 I'm looking forward to the next Mission Impossible this week!

Christopher simeon

Glad you made it home safely. I hope one day to travel to Europe but I need time and money which right now is a luxury. Excited for Final destination and Euro trip is a fun movie to react to. Punisher finale time. Can't wait to finish things off.

Nathan Jasper

Wow, seems like other countries actually give a damn about their people and environment. What a weird concept. Looks like you had tons of fun and I'm glad you made it through, and back, safely! That Cathedral looks so amazing and the food, wow!

That's the thing that really surprised me about some Europeans that I met and talked to (including Miles), is the places that y'all HAVEN'T been even though they're so close to you! But "close" means different between y'all and me haha. The Netherlands is like what, 300km long from north to south, or just over that? The two largest cities in Alberta, Calgary and Edmonton, are 300km apart. That's a drive that I have done many many times in my life, so that distance is basically nothing to me. All that said, I understand why road trips would be luxurious over there because I did see fuel prices and HOLY MOLY. The Euro equivalent of fuel where I live is €0.83/L. Seeing over double that was insanity.

Tyler Foster

Another one that would be fitting to watch now would be In Bruges. Looks like you had a great trip! Can't wait for Fallout, The Exorcist, and the Charade edit (this last one I would always forget you hadn't already done; I've looked for it and then remembered it doesn't exist like three or four times). Crossing my fingers the next two down on the horror poll might get mixed in somewhere down the line rather than having to be polled again, as those (Misery and Event Horizon) would probably been my top choices, with The Fly and Final Destination as runner-ups. Although that's partially because I just watched The Fly with Cassie!

"What a weird concept." Indeed. Although I'm realizing that I forgot something in the "Won't Miss" list, and that's the amount of cigarette smokers (and some places you can still smoke indoors). That was a big shock for me (the first cafe I went to had ashtrays on all the tables and I was like ??) and it made me realize just how many Canadians don't smoke. 😅 But yeah outside of that, it felt nice being in places where they actually seem to care about everyone's well-being in many different ways. A favourite very small thing was seeing spray-painted footprints at crosswalks near elementary schools. A small gesture of helping kids learn how to cross the streets safely. And I think Japan has that too. The cathedral was incredible and very convenient to visit as its located right beside the main train station in the city.

Movies with KL

I'll be consulting all the horror polls I've done for future horror watches to sprinkle throughout the year.

Onno Smits

Haha, yeah the car-centric American lifestyle is definitely foreign to me. I have never owned a car, and never felt the need to. I've always lived within cycling distance of school, work, food, healthcare, nature, you name it. 🤣 And for family/friends I can just hop on a train, which departs every 15mins or so. I really only drive on vacation, in foreign countries. I might visit the museums in Amsterdam someday, though... 🤔 PS: That chocolate-covered stroopwafel looks insane! Enormous and extravagant.

Movies with KL

Not sure when I'll get Eurotrip scheduled in, but would like to watch it before year-end!

Nathan Jasper

Oh yeah I bet that smoking bit would be a shock! I hope nothing felt overwhelming with smoke smell, that would suck for sure. I love the footprint idea! That's really sweet and thoughtful for the city or district to provide that.

Movies with KL

It was overwhelming for like the first week, then I got used to it.

Movies with KL

The stroopwafel was DELICIOUS. And yes, I am very jealous of the ability to bike everywhere in a city and train life. 😭

Nestor Custodio

So glad you're back, but also: so glad you got to *be away* and unwind for a bit.

Movies with KL

Thank you and big same, it was a needed reset and a chance to slow down a lot.

Pan

Even though you didn't come to Hannover (:P) I'm glad you had such a great time in Germany! 🎉

Movies with KL

Haha thank you. There is so much in Germany, I could probably be there like six months and see all new places regularly.

Chad Jenkins

Guess who's back...back again...KL's back... Glad you enjoyed your trip. I have been to Köln as well. I thought that cathedral looked familiar :) My favorite thing from when I was in Europe is so many restaurants and cafes with outdoor seating. I see some places around home like that, but not nearly as much

Movies with KL

The amount of outdoor seating was EVERYTHING, I loved it.

ReCoN

Looking forward to the MI Fallout react, definitely my favorite of the series.
