I promise that I love this show, but holy wow is it gruesome. The stuff we see in this show gets to me more than body horror movies do LOL.

So excited to talk about this finale and the season overall! I also let you know where I place it in my Netflix Marvel ranking so far. 😊 Looking forward to your thoughts too. [Direct link here.]

See you later this week for the start of Season 5 of Agents of SHIELD! 🎉

In the comics Frank’s arch enemy, his joker, is a gangster that Frank badly disfigured in his face, and his name was Billy Russo or Billy russoti. His comic name was jigsaw because his face looked like an incomplete jigsaw puzzle. It’s perfect aswell because all season characters like Billy, Dinah and Frank have all remarked about how vain Billy is and how proud he is of his looks, his lack of scars and what he see when he looks in the mirror……. They were expertly dropping hints all season where things were heading. It’s fun to watch S1 on a rewatch knowing that Billy is the main villain, it makes the writing so much richer because you can appreciate all the subtleties. It’s not surprising since the punisher show ever was a staff writer on Hannibal which is probably one of the finest pieces of tv ever about a twist ‘frienemy’ relationship where both parties (Frank and Billy or Will and Hannibal) are simultaneously enemies and close friends.

your list of the shows didn't include daredevil born again aka daredevil season 4. Daeredevill is still goi strong, season 5 is ue out next sprig

I could not handle the sound of glass and Billy screams so brutal. I agree with your ranking on the Netflix shows. I think mine would be similar.

It's because I haven't seen it yet. I can't rank what I haven't seen!

I meant your list of what you have to watch and what order…..the show at the end should be born again. Because this stuff is still going! :)

Interesting show. I liked it more than I expected, but I won't miss it either. I am happy Frank got some nice revenge. Frank was fun to follow around, but I'm just more interested in following other characters.

That's a fine opinion! I like following Frank more than Luke and Danny, but not quite as interesting to follow around as Matt and Jessica! But we'll see what Season 2 has in store.

Firstly, just because I've been waiting to share this since Frank first appeared for you but had to wait until it wouldn't be spoilery... https://youtu.be/8QYRVskMR24?si=Aww1tKXs3dLdSHqf It's silly, but hilarious. Alrighty...now time for the geekery. The events of the whole season spanned from the 2nd week of November 2016 (when Frank shot up the Gnucci's at Linello's in episode 1 was November 10th...the Marine Corps birthday) through the middle of December 2016 (Lewis' attack on Senator Ori at the hotel was December 12 and the events of the last episodes are within days of that) so, no, the finale wasn't ON Thanksgiving...when Frank and David were eating microwave dinners and talking about Thanksgiving was probably actually Thanksgiving. That means Frank spent both his birthday (November 15...a birthday that another beloved Jon Bernthal character shares) and Thanksgiving trapped in the basement of a disused power station with David and was on death's door twice in less than a month. Rough month. It's always hard to track the amount of time that passes in shows, but Bulletin paper shots and an obsessive use of the pause button makes it a little easier for this one, ha. I know you said you started watching the Jamie Lee Curtis episode of Jon's podcast (SUCH a great episode...she's amazing) and I hope that has maybe given you an itch to watch The Bear. I know you've got a lot on your plate to watch, but I hope that you'll throw that on the list of things to check out in the not-too-distant future. Ebon Moss-Bacharach is in it,the episodes are usually more around the 30 minute mark and the seasons are short, so...just file that away for when you think you might could slot it in. I don't know anyone who is disappointed that they watched it.

God...Hannibal was such a special, special show.

LOL thank you so much for that video. That got some good laugh out loud moments out of me. The Mmm Whatcha Say when David got shot. 😂 The Lion King 2 song hahaha. The AGENTS OF SHIELD SCENE over Frank and Billy lolol. The comedy music with Frank and David scenes. People who make these videos are so good at picking the right songs to go with scenes. The CSI: Miami reference hahahaha. Appreciate the time clarification for sure! And The Bear.... that has been on my mind, but not on the list of priorities for shows. I'll def keep it in mind.

I love that vid so much. It's a go-to for bad days to help pick me up. I may have dang near laughed myself to the point of wheezing more than once.

I really wish you were on Season 2 of Punisher by now, but sometimes the best things come to those who wait.

Season 2 of The Punisher will begin on June 30. I only have Season 2 of Iron Fist (which I've already started) and Season 3 of Daredevil before it.
