On a family visit years ago, my Dad and I watched this episode out of context. He was channel hopping, and it just happened to catch his interest. We tuned in right as Fitz was getting arrested in the diner, so we missed the recap. I'd only seen seasons 1-3, and my Dad had seen none of the show, so for both of us it was very much a random episode. Like Fitz, we had no idea what had happened. Weirdly, that may have made the attempts to solve the mystery extra engaging and fun, because it kind of put us in Fitz's shoes. Thinking it was a spy show, my Dad was completely shocked by the Enoch/sci-fi reveal.

I love this episode, it's one of my favorites of the show. I always liked this type of episodes in shows, where we get to revisit past moments through other characters point of view. Seeing Hunter again was amazing, his chemistry with Fitz has always been so good. Also, Enoch! Him and Deke are incredible aditions to this season and I love both of them so much.

Fitz felt responsible for Mace's death. That's what he meant, because he said it before when they were all together that he would turn himself in alone because he was responsible.

The counterpart to 3x5 the Simmons episode. You also rated that one pretty high. The writers have now built on events from season 3(Charles Hilton and his family) and season 4 and the framework. Charles before he died was worried that Robin could end up with powers like him and sadly that has come true but at least it is not always seeing death. Fitz's gun skills and behavior has definitely changed because just like with Mack and his Spanish the skills and memories in the framework are remembered as well. Hunter's return was a highlight and l love hearing that him and Bobbi almost got married again. He mentions Ninjas and since they are mercenaries they most likely had to fight the Hand from daredevil lol. It is a funny thing to picture. 2091 is pretty far. I love your theories.

Hunter's actor's name was shown at the end credits.

Some people were saying, at the time of airing, that the system that Enoch is from is the same one that The Silver Surfer is from. I can't confirm since I didn't read hardly any Silver Surfer comics, but I believe it since I'd heard it from multiple commenters.

Also, remember that "Kasius" is pronounced (kas-EYE-us), not (CASS-ee-us, Cassius).

Was a fun reaction, the joy and surprise on you're face when Hunter showed up was awesome to see. Seeing Hunter and Fitz together was fun their little side arguments about which Football/Soccer team was best was a fun lil something. takes you back too season 1 with him and ward, I think a soccer match was on in the bar and Fitz fixed the power for them. Now the military lady at the end was a real wtf moment.

When I saw your thumbnails on these episode, I thought you might be cosplaying as a Resident Evil character. I forget her name, since I only played 1 Resident Evil game. I think her name was Eve? I don't know.

The adventures of the Brit and the Scot. I really love their dynamic, especially when they begin to sound like Kingsman agents. If and when you decide to check out the Kingsman movies, you’ll see what I mean.

Haha I have never played the games myself and the only one I've watched is Resident Evil 7. I don't know who I might look like from those games.

I know, sorry. It's my A Court of Thorns and Roses brain interjecting "Cassian" (pronounced Cass-ee-un") into my thoughts when Kasius comes up.

I think my brain is thinking about this in a different way, but we still end up in the same place in the end. To me, Fitz sounded like he felt he was the one responsible for *SHIELD being tailed by the government* and thus responsible for his friends being in danger. Is the government only after SHIELD because of Mace's death? Aren't there other reasons why they want them captured? Either way, it sounds like we both agree that Fitz knows Aida/the Framework was one of the worst things possible and he feels responsible because he helped create that.

Oh gosh, watching this episode without having seen Season 4 or the first 4 episodes of this season, that must have been so confusing LOL.

As we saw here, they think SHIELD is a rogue agency that also shot Talbot. Army men also died when AIDA became a real girl and went on a killing spree. Not sure if they are after SHIELD for more than those things, but that's kinda enough. Any destruction that Ophelia and The Superior did, the government/world views as SHIELD did it. Oh, and before Talbot was shot, when they all first came out of the Framework, Talbot thought that Daisy killed Mace because his body was found and his bones were crushed (done by the Superior on Ophelia's orders). But, before he was shot, he said to the room full of people that Daisy might not have done it, then her LMD comes in and shoots him in the head.

There are two things I look forward to when reactors reach this episode: the Hunter reveal, and seeing how long it takes for the reactor to recognise Robin/Polly - out of the reactions I've seen, I think you're the second fastest to realise who they were, just because you seemed to have a little doubt right at the beginning. It's a great tie back to 3x15 to bring in Charles Hinton's daughter, who has a variation of his power to see the future (once again, we see powers reoccur with slight differences each time). This also explains why Hunter doesn't know about her, as he and Bobbi left the show two episodes prior (which also gives a way for the writers to explain the connection for anyone who hadn't already figured it out!). We also finally get a year for where we are in the future - 2091, which along with the 74 years in the future tag pins the 'present' to 2017. The mentions of Robin's power being 'prophecy' fits with all the examples of this power that we've seen thus far (from Raina and Charles) being 'immutable' - what they see will happen - but we can also assume that like before, there is additional context that we're unaware of. The big difference this time is that we also have *actual* time travel in the mix, so is that going to change things? Seems the government hasn't learned from S1/2 - once again, they put everything they confiscated from SHIELD in the same place, and once again, SHIELD were able to infiltrate and steal (some of) it back! It's good that they were able to get permission to keep Nick Blood's name out of the opening credits and save it for the end credits - it's not something that happens all that frequently, so I appreciate the effort here (however I wouldn't be surprised if it was spoiled in the promo for the episode - studios often undermine these things to drum up interest). As I mentioned during the Framework arc last season, Adrianne was busy on The Orville by this time, so wouldn't have been available to make guest appearances. I also like how easily Nick was able to slip back into playing Hunter - he was exactly as he was before he left.
