Regarding the “I wish you ate them raw” comment by Helena’s father: It was mentioned in Season 1 that Kier’s favorite breakfast was 3 raw eggs in milk. Just another way she disappointed him by not embodying Kier.

I would love to see him again too, but knowing how fucked up this place is, I can't 100% trust that Irving was sent to a completely peaceful place. But I def want peace for him.

I love the final leadups to the finales so much with this show. They do the rising tension thing so well. Part of me wants to click play on the next immediately...but also just like to sit in that mystery for a minute. Because it's so good.

Seems like they could all use an ally outside of that town somewhere. I really think he'll be back at some point. John Turturro is just too good to give up already, and I don't think he'll be ready to leave a great show prematurely.

I think your reaction to this episode was the most affected reaction I've seen to it. It looks like it hit you REALLY hard. I've seen some tear up, but it's been minimal. One thing I didn't realize when I first watched it was Irving saying "I'm ready" was a callback to earlier when Burt showed Irving that room with all the plants and said it could be their secret place and talked about lip-to-lip contact, Irving said "I'm not ready." Also, when Milchik said, "Devour feculence," it took me a second and then I just laughed and said, "He just told you to eat shit and you're not smart enough to know!" I'd never heard the word "feculence" before, but I worked it out because of the root "fec" for feces. The context clue of starting with "devour" that helped me put it together. I didn't know what Jame Eagan meant by "You tricked me" either, but I think he meant at the gala 'cause he came to talk to her in the restroom beforehand and spoke to her, thinking she was Helena. Afterward, in ep 1 of S2, he came and talked to Helena again and called her "fetid moppet!"
