Who decided this movie title?! This is no vacation! 😂

Enjoy my reaction and I'm looking forward to your comments on this one! Let me know if you want me to check out the orig Vacation and European Vacay too and I'll note them for future "series" entries. 😊

PS. The Live Free or Die Hard reaction will be shared tonight and then an update will go out in the morning for the week ahead!

Definitely check out the others. Vacation, European Vacation, and Vegas Vacation are so worth checking out however I would not recommend the Ed Helms Vacation sequel/reboot.

Vacation and Vegas Vacation are amusing (and in my opinion, both better than this one). European Vacation is not good. However, as mentioned on the previous post, far and away, by a significant margin, my favorite is the 2015 reboot. I could take or leave the rest, but the filmmakers behind the reboot, John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, brought the same sense of humor that benefitted them in Game Night (2018), one of the best studio comedies of the 2010s, and in their charming Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (2023), which I know you watched off the channel (as well as their job writing the script for Spider-Man: Homecoming, which they did not direct).

I enjoyed the DnD movie a lot. Game Night is one that I should re-watch one day. That one was good too, but not as good as DnD for me.

I knew you'd seen D&D, didn't know you'd already seen Game Night. It's probably marked on LBX, I just didn't notice. But I can scratch it off my Reactr list! :) EDIT: By coincidence, I just happened to reread the last poll and discover it actually wasn't logged, and it technically won the spin wheel. Well, there you go.

This is my personal fav of the series, but mostly cuz my family put it on every Xmas. So I have fond memories tied to this one. Easy rewatch for me.

Aunt Bethany was the original voice of Betty Boop and Olive Oyl from Popeye

Once you get used to the style of comedy and how "Sparky's" character is you can pretty much watch any of these moves as a sit down for a laugh movie.

Drowned In Gravy

The first Vacation and this one are very funny. European Vacation and Vegas Vacation can absolutely be skipped. Also, as someone with my share of Midwestern redneck relatives, Cousin Eddie kills me. Reminds me of at least 3 different branches of my family.

Drowned In Gravy

My brother and I spent way too much time and money on ebay last year to get our dad the legit Tasmanian Devil mug Clark was drinking out of, but it was his favorite Christmas gift we've ever gotten him. Also, the doorbell getting progressively more minor key every time it rings is one of my favorite gags in this entire series.

I personally disagree with the humor in the vacation reboot. I found it to be more mean-spirited, unfunny, and downright hateful whereas game night and dungeons & dragons Were both playful and fun spirited. Complete polar opposites to me.
