What a terrifying concept taking place here in this story. 🫣 Should I watch the sequel some day?

I'm sorry for the delay on this reaction. I get myself so worked up for some of these scary movies sometimes so I didn't end up watching this until late last night. 🙃 I hope you enjoy the reaction and I appreciate you watching! If you're up for it yeah, Smile 2 is the better movie. It's got a truly fantastic performance from Noami Scott in the lead.

The real trauma you get from this movie is that flashy title card. Don't worry though. The one for 2 is worse. 😁

Finally got around to watching, and man I'll never miss a chance to rewatch this one. The ending is definitely a bummer, but this is probably one of my favorite horror movies that doesn't really have a big "franchise" around it. You should 100% watch Smile 2, it's (in my opinion) as good or better than the original.

Yes, we did see Rose's mother before the house at the end. Her mother is who she heard/saw in the darkness of her home after the birthday party. It kept saying "Why did you kill me, you let me die" then shouted one final ROSE before we cut to the sister's house... or was it Joel's apartment? One of the two. I hate how I can't remember a simple timeline of events after JUST watching something. So annoying. Anyway! Glad to see you had a decent time with it and hope you decide to try out part 2

Pause 49:44 Her fiance is not her person. What a narcissist prick, "I can't do this right now" leaving your scared woman when she's in the middle of being honest and vulnerable and you call her crazy????!!!! It sucks to find out this way, but better before you're married and hit a real life problem. The way she's triggered and apologises and says sorry is definitely childhood trauma behavior from before.

I just rewatched Smile2 with another reactor, and it's SO much better. This sequel wins the better than the original award.
