Hi everyone! It's a long weekend up here in Alberta and I'm spending some time with family, so we have a slight adjustment to the week as a result of it.

Tuesday + Thursday: I'm using both of these days to wrap up Season 2 of Jessica Jones. I'll share 2x11: AKA Three Lives and Counting on Tuesday and 2x12: AKA Pray for my Patsy + 2x13: AKA Playland on Thursday.

Wednesday: I received a Reactr request from Brad for Somewhere in Time (1980). It was very lovely to see Christopher Reeve again. 🥰

Friday: We continue the Indy adventures with Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989).

Saturday: The winner of the Catherine O'Hara poll: Best in Show (2000).

📢 Make sure to get your entry in for the March draw, which will close on Thursday Mar 5 and the draw will happen the next day. This is open to members in the Movie Watchers and TV Insiders tiers.

Thank you to everyone who voted in the Film Noir poll. The winner was The Maltese Falcon (1941) so I'll be watching that soon and releasing it likely the first week of March. Here are the final results:

So, what's next for TV now that Fallout is over?

I've been intrigued by Pluribus - the new Vince Gilligan show with Rhea Seehorn. And people enjoy it so I want to check it out. It's only nine episodes, so it will be quick to get through! That will begin next week.

I'm still gearing up to start Ted Lasso after Pluribus. I know the fourth season releases this year. I'll admit that I think reacting to a "feel-good" show is needed to spice up the variety here as I tend to react to shows that deal with really heavy subjects. 😅 How much interest is there for this?

And what's starting next week in Marvel after Jessica Jones?

So about this.. Inhumans is technically up next in my chosen watch order. However, I have decided to skip Inhumans, Runaways, and Cloak and Dagger. I know that these three shows are generally less favoured compared to the others and I won't lie, I would like to continue the stories of the characters I've come to enjoy over the past two years over being introduced to however many other new characters. I love being completionist, but I also don't want to spend months of my time just to be completionist, especially when far fewer people are watching with me than "normal". I may watch these on my own time someday, but they won't be reacted to.

This means that Season 2 of Luke Cage will start next week, and the rest of my ABC/Netflix journey is as follows: Season 2 of Iron Fist, Season 3 of Daredevil, Season 2 of The Punisher, Season 3 of Jessica Jones, and then Seasons 6 and 7 of Agents of SHIELD. While AOS is a bit of a wait, I like that those two seasons will wrap up this very long journey that I've been on. (I have not forgotten about Daredevil: Born Again. That will come after.)

While on the topic of Marvel... let's flip to the MCU for a sec. Unfortunately, I am not feeling any sort of itch to catch up on the shows that I still need to (Agatha, Ironheart, Echo, What If...?). I am really enjoying the other shows, so perhaps I'm just feeling a little bit Disney-Marvel burnout, if that makes sense. Anyway, I'd still like to get to these one day, but at this point I guess it's a bit of a wait-and-see.

I think that's about it for this coming week here on Patreon. 😊 By the way, I got access to an early access feature here called Quips. Apparently these are super quick status-like things that I can share and they only appear on the Patreon mobile app. I thought this would be a good way to provide quick updates, since not everyone uses the Community Chat here. So I suppose I should ask how many of you are viewing Patreon through their mobile app? Let me know!

You're the best, thank you for being here! 💚

Excited for Last Crusade and Best in Show. I don't know what it is, but "Ted Lasso" just does not interest me. But I know I'm in the minority there.

I've never really known you to check out long shows in general, anyway. Edit: pressed enter accidentally. I want to add, at least from a reaction watching along perspective.

Just a heads up. Echo is sort of needed to follow some things in Born again but maybe we can find a video summary for you. We will handle it when the time comes. Plubius is also on my list. Agatha is worth the watch. I was very surprised how it turned out but it gets better maybe around Halloween this year if you have a better schedule then.

I have many I intend to watch (like "Star Trek" with Cinebinge, although only the original 3 seasons and the animated series) but I usually put that off in favor of movies. But I rewatched most of "Better Call Saul" with TBR and Cinebinge.

I know Echo needs to be watched before Born Again, but as that is still so long away, I just wanted to clarify how I feel *now* about those shows, that's all.

I think skipping those old Marvel shows is the right call, some are not all bad, some are, but I don't think any are necessary in any way. In terms of the newer MCU shows. Agatha was really good as a quirky continuation of Wandavision. So, if you are going to pick one, that would be my suggestion. Very excited about Pluribus! And I am curious how Ted Lasso would go for you since it is so different from your usual lineup, but would be down to see it.

Sorry for an off topic ? and I apologize if I missed an update about it, are all of the chats gone or am I not seeing them ?

For the MCU, I think Agatha is definitely worth a watch before any of the other shows. There’s no real order needed to watch the remaining shows. That’s the only one I can think of that will really appeal to you. I’m not a fan of comedy shows whatsoever but when I tell you Ted Lasso is absolute gold…it is one of them shows that EVERYONE needs to watch at least once. It’s like when you’re sick with a cold and you need chicken soup….that’s Ted Lasso!

I must admit, I was kinda looking forward to Inhumans - I have the feeling that it might be interesting to reevaluate it, especially in comparison to what Marvel Studios has put out. Regardless, it makes sense to skip those three shows - as has been mentioned previously, Runaways and Cloak and Dagger are sort of in their own sub-universe away from the ABC/Netflix shows anyway, and Inhumans is basically self-contained. It would still be interesting to hear your thoughts on them if/when you do watch them though, even without a reaction Never heard of Pluribus (I don't really pay attention to what new shows get released), so might check that out with you, but I'll watch Ted Lasso when it arrives. I stayed away from it for a long time, but was pleasantly surprised when I did eventually watch it. I'd also like to throw The Good Place into the ring for consideration if you haven't seen it. I have the Patreon app installed, but I basically never use it - there are rare occasions I'll open it, but I primarily rely on the email notifications for updates.

By before any of the other shows, you mean the MCU ones, yes?

Movies with KL

They're gone for me too. There's some sort of bug happening.

Joe

The Good Place is my favorite show.

I feel like Echo should be seen before Born Again but there's a good while before you get there anyway. Even if it's on your own time, it's definitely important after being set up in Hawkeye. But other than that, totally understand the burnout, it's a lot of content plus fan division adds to the weight of it all. Excited to revisit Pluribus with you, the discussions ought to be very interesting!

Indie!!! My favourite one outta the trilogy, Sean Connery smashes it
