It is the start of a new series! With all of the TV series that I react to, I provide the first watchalong reaction for free. You must have your own copy of the episode to watchalong as I do blur the episode and have the audio muted. There is 30 seconds of syncing time at the start of the episode. I am not allowed to distribute the entire episodes in my videos, as this is illegal. Thank you for watching along with me! If you would like to continue watching as I release week-to-week, please join the TV Insiders tier. Alternatively, you may wait until I am nearly done the season, at which time I will make the Collection here on Patreon available for a one-time purchase. Thank you!

I am SO HOOKED - what a pilot! I am so intrigued at all of the possibilities that Vince could explore with this concept and I cannot wait to continue.

With shows like this that are new and have a good mystery to them, there is always a chance that people are also watching with me for their first time too. So in addition to standard spoilers being omitted from comments, please also refrain from confirming/denying theories I or others may have before the show does it for us, or even gently nudging if we are going in the right/wrong direction. I am looking forward to your comments, and please keep that in mind!

I appreciate you watching with me, thank you! 😊

Have not watched your reaction yet just wanted to comment on the casual talk on the tv at the end. That was just insane lol. I wonder what I would do in this situation. Being one of the last few people not part of this thing I think I would just stay in my home isolated from everyone because of the fear of assimilation until my food runs out. Then I would probably make weapons and try anm get to a store to get dry foods and supplies. In this situation I would avoid murdering anyone unless they tried kissing me then all bets are off. I would not talk to it at all Fuck that.😂 I have only watched episode 1 and 2 so far.

Vince hecking Gilligan man... He has a way with Pilots that, no matter the premise, you just WANT to watch more and it hooks you right away. Very happy you are doing this and that you like it so far! The premise is fantastic and super unique. I originally typed more but I think it's smarter to dive deeper into the convo about this after episode 2. That's all I can say for this episode, just wanted to throw my 2 cents in and say I am very hyped for this journey. Never watching along to anything with anyone usually but for Pluribus and Ted Lasso, I am on board!

Just started this one myself last week. Gonna come back around here in a week or two.

Been wanting to rewatch this, so thank you for the good timing. Just too clarify 1 thing, Helen had a very traumatic head injury when she fell down. The blown blood vessels under her eyes signify that. Helen's consciousness for that brief moment when she woke up and saw Carol and smiled and before she died was "downloaded" to the "WE". Everything she knew, they know. Including the hidden house keys. Can't wait to watch this with you

Joined your Patreon for this show living rent free in my head. I've seen the first 9 episode Season 1 about 5 times now. I'm so excited to take this journey with you.

Your synapses are firing now, aren't they?

That breathalyzer on the car is when a person gets convicted for driving under the influence. Not for every person convicted of it, but probably for more wealthy people who didn't hurt anyone with it, I'd guess. I've seen those for years, but not a ton. Point is, it's not exclusive to the world on this show.

Thadman

I saw another reactor that saw Helen's eyes and the marks under them and said, "Oh, she's got intercranial bleeding." So, she fell hard and hit her head which is, most likely, why she died.

I think I thought that the blood vessels around her eyes was just her body reacting negatively to the virus (because I have to imagine that there'd be *some* bodies that would reject the virus), but yeah good point about her falling right on her head. That certainly makes more sense.

Movies with KL

That made more sense to me after watching, when I was thinking about the episode a little bit more. And the fact that buddies truck that she drove didn't have the same in it.

Movies with KL

Yeah I'm not smart enough to have put that together. I just thought that her body was reacting negatively to the virus, because it feels like there would be *some* bodies on our world that would have a drastic negative reaction to this, just like how Carol and 11 others seem to be completely immune from it. But yes, she did fall on her head quite hard so that makes sense.

Sharpgirl

Something that made me chuckle. Carol was on her book tour for her 4th book of the Wycaro Trilogy. Usually a trilogy is 3. This says to me Carol is stuck in her writing of "mindless crap"

Movies with KL

I caught that too, when they said fourth book in a trilogy. But I figured they meant that it was intended to be a trilogy and then she was pressured to continue it.

Vince Gilligan did it again! It's incredible how, with enormous expectations after Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, he managed to caught lightning in a bottle for the third time. I hope you like Pluribus because I personally cannot wait for the second season hahaha. Rhea Seehorn gave us an incredible performance. Better Call Saul was pretty recent, so I was afraid I was gonna see only Kim Wexler in her perfomance, but I'm happy to say I was wrong! Carol Sturka is a great and complex character, and Rhea did a wondeful job.

Wow I had no idea this was a Vince Gilligan show. Going to give it a go. Almost never been very disappointed in an Apple Plus show, too. They've garnered a pretty stellar record since launch date. Respect. You might enjoy The Morning Show if you haven't seen it yet.

There are definitely more Apple Originals that I need to check out. I loved Severance and I'm sure I'm going to love this one too! Excited you're checking this out too and I'm happy to know that I have someone that I can theorize with in the comments!

Movies with KL

I know it's only been one episode, but Carol is very different from Kim to me. Rhea is doing fantastic.
