Another great episode! Definitely would love to know your opinions on these characters in this season so far. I can't wait to see how things continue to play out and maybe we get a cameo appearance in the next episode? 🤞🏻 Thanks for watching!

Shades story is one I have a hard time clocking beat to beat. He loves being adjacent to power. He seems like he is always calculating how to take control, but not for himself. Just to uplift the doomed to be taken down power he is currently idolizing. Yet in the flashbacks in jail, he seemed far more self serving than he is out. If you were starting up your criminal enterprise, would you hire Shades as your right-hand man?

I have a feeling that maybe whenever I get around to re-watching this show, his actions will become a bit clearer to me. I do forget a lot of his actions and especially micro-expressions/conversations from Season 1. I suppose that's the only downside to watching these in a chronological order, but that's okay. I've definitely enjoyed Shades more in this season than in S1 overall. Hmm, I'm not so sure about that. I think that him killing Che the way he did was a mistake. Misty clocked it right away. If Shades had left Che to lay there and die out from the sole gunshot he made right from where Ridenhour was laying, then it wouldn't have looked so obvious. Although to be fair, maybe Che would have lived and then Mariah/Shades would really be fucked. I think that second shot was not only a mercy shot on Shades' part, but also a guaranteed kill shot.

This show has some really good lessons....Parents admitting they were wrong and apologizing to their children, not letting revenge consume you and forgiveness. I hope with Daredevil and The Punisher being in the MCU now Luke Cage and Missy come back soon.
