Zero theories about that ending! Brain empty! This episode was very isolating. A bit scary, but with one hilarious moment for some levity. I'm looking forward to your comments! Thank you so much for watching with me. 🥰

This show is a mystery wrapped in a conundrum and it only gets weirder and more confusing. Truly feel like this series was inspired by Severance. Really feels like a different version of that, with all the social commentary layered on top. Interesting stuff.

I have a theory that their version of vegetarianism is a loose stretch of the term. Idk if I should say it though cause even though it's speculation it could still ruin the experience of the puzzle.

Totally fair. I'm excited for the season finale post because then we can speculate a bunch in the comments as we wait on Season 2.

I'm really curious how he's going to stretch this idea to multiple seasons. I trust Vince though he's made some stellar stuff.

I remember reading quite a few comments that said that they thought "The Others" were pissed at Carol and they were being petty by "giving her a timeout," but I didn't see it like that, especially after hearing the phone message saying that their feelings haven't changed for her. I thought that they did the assessment that she keeps putting them in danger, so they need to deal with her indirectly. If you notice, the hospital workers didn't look at her directly and that could just be them being mad at her, but I thought that they didn't want to chance her hurting them again, since they can't take her negative feelings when they're aimed directly at them. Point is, I feel they were more...disappointed in her and they're trying to protect themselves and much less that they're trying to punish her. Not saying YOU said that, just relaying some of the discussion on it when it first aired. It was interesting that you mentioned how you'd be crying much more than Carol if this happened to you (same), but then I remembered that after Helen died, the only time we've seen her cry was when she gave herself that truth serum and that was painful to watch, her just crying and saying "I miss you!" over and over. Seems she's not comfortable crying when she's not under the influence. She doesn't even remember doing it. That's learned behavior and might have to do with her relationship with her mother and the trauma she put her through. Oh yeah, and good catch on this being the first time Carol has slept in her bed since the incident, over 8 days ago. I never noticed before.

Yeah, if someone is treating you badly, it is often easier to remove yourself from them rather than try to make them change. That seems to be the decision that The Others came to. I definitely don't blame them!

I was so excited when I watched this the first time and got to hear Patrick Fabian (Howard Hamlin) doing the voicemail. It's so funny that they play it so many times.
