A movie I hadn't heard of and came through Reactr courtesy of Sharpgirl, thank you! This movie has such a stacked cast and was filled with genuine laugh out loud moments, emotional moments, and heartwarming moments. Octavia Spencer is the best. Enjoy the reaction and I'm looking forward to your thoughts below!

After I watched this I went into a deep dive on the Civil Rights era. Medger Evers being assassinated. The white citizens council and other Mississippi laws. I learned about "sundown towns" and just other whackadoo racist stuff. We touched on this in school but they only really teach about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks. Thank you for reacting to this brilliant story. Rich in cast and emotions. Worth the Oscar.

Ya, Medger Evers getting shot was huge news and very sad and compounded by the obvious killer and a very racist trial afterwards. Amazing legal drama movie on the truth about it called "Ghosts of Mississippi" star studded- Alec Baldwin, Whoopie Goldberg, James Woods. Worth adding to your 'to watch' list...
