Hi everyone! I hope you're all doing lovely. 🥰 Here's what you can expect this week:

🔴 On YouTube

Monday: Event Horizon (1997) [Full-Length]

This reaction is currently in early access viewing on Patreon and YouTube! For Patreon members, I totally forgot to make a version of the edit without the watermark over the movie, so that will be shared here later today or tomorrow.

🟠 On Patreon

Tuesday: We finally make our return to Daredevil! I'm starting Season 3 - Episode 1: Resurrection and Episode 2: Please. I'm so happy to be back!

Wednesday: For my pick this week, I want to continue the Evil Dead series with the third movie, Army of Darkness (1992).

EDIT: This will actually be Saturday, hopefully! I made an oops and forgot to give myself more time to place a hold on this one at the library, which was closed for two days that it's normally open because of a stat holiday here.

Thursday: Next up in Season 1 of Ted Lasso is Episode 5: Tan Lines and Episode 6: Two Aces.

Friday: The winner of this month's Member of the Month Winner's Picks Poll was The Fugitive (1993). I'm not sure what this movie is about, but the poster makes this look very 90s action/thriller and I'm looking forward to watching Harrison Ford in that type of movie.

In the event of any changes or delays to the above schedule, I'll communicate that in the comments of this post.

📢 Click here to submit your entry for the June draw, which will close on Thurs, June 4 and the draw will happen on Fri, June 5. This is open to members in the Movie Watchers and TV Insiders tiers.

I'm now finished with sharing pre-recorded reactions and I'll be working to get that pile built up again. And fairly soon too as summer is right around the corner and I desperately need to take some time to do some summer-time house tasks. Mainly stuff I've been putting off year after year that I can't ignore anymore, such as clearing out and organizing my garage and shed and having a yard/garage sale over a weekend or two. I also have the local arborist coming to rip out and grind down the stump of the large tree in my backyard. I wish I could keep the tree, but it just grows way too fast so it's become more of a nuisance and annoyance than a beautiful thing (so sorry, tree). But once it's gone, I'll finally have room for something that I've always wanted to have: a fire pit! 🎉

I'm still doing some Census work throughout the rest of May and possibly into a bit of June - just doing follow-ups now with households that haven't completed it yet. I've been asked if I'd like to work elections in the future and I've said yes to that. Adding these super short-term temp jobs to my routine here and there when I can adds some nice variety to my life.

How have you all been doing? Thanks so much for your comments on the reactions the last two weeks. You're all so appreciated and I am glad you're here. 🥰

There really is nothing like hanging out by a fire pit on a summer evening. I love using mine once the weather gets nice. I also dug out my bike (cleaning the shed in the process) and pumped up the tires to get it ready for a bike trail ride I have planned. I was even surprised the LED lights I attached to the spokes still worked after quite a few years, so I could even do a night ride!

Daredevil is back and season 3 is going to be fun. I haven't rewatched it in years but I remember loving it.

Although you probably remember, it's been awhile, so: I definitely watching the theatrical cut of Army of Darkness (80:47) rather than the Director's Cut (96:23) or the International Cut (88:51), as there are many beloved scenes and lines of dialogue that only appear in the initial cut, which is also the one that became a cable mainstay, making this the most popular of the original Evil Dead trilogy by a significant margin (I think before the internet was a household thing, there were people who probably didn't even know AoD was the third in a trilogy). However, it might be a good idea to watch the director's cut ending of the movie in the reaction right after finishing the film. As you can see by the running times of the various cuts, there are a bunch of other changes throughout the film (and one scene that I do think should've been left in its longest possible form for clarity's sake) that can be discussed after the reaction is posted, but this ending is one of the bigger complete differences between the two versions and will probably be fun to discuss, and it would only take five extra minutes. This video is a decent quality (I saw another one in the wrong aspect ratio): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ynn44y9R5pw

Also, really excited for The Fugitive as well, which is one of Harrison Ford's greatest movies, and then you get another all-timer performance from someone else on top of it. There are definitely four in the period between then and now that I want to watch (three of them are automatically a bit lower on my list because they'd all be first-time watches for me, which often take a backseat to stuff I know I like), but as it's worked out, I haven't watched a movie reaction with you since Train to Busan!

Wow this is one hell of a week. The Fugitive is in my top 10 films of all-time. I better clear my regular tv viewing schedule. 😅

Bradley Bradley

The Fugitive! YES! You’re going to love it. :-)

Hi everyone! I made a small oops and didn't place a hold early enough on the Army of Darkness disc with our stat holiday this week, so I won't be able to get that reaction out today. I am hoping that I can share it on Saturday.

Hi guys, so sorry. Follow-up Census work is a lot more than I thought it'd be. 😂 The Fugitive will be out tomorrow!

Joshua Gideon

Looking forward to seeing The Fugitive with you
