We love a good hallway fight scene! 💪 The one-take aspect of it reminded me of some other wonderful one-take stuff that I've seen. Loved it. Looking forward to your thoughts on this episode!

The prison fight sequence is definitely something I had remembered, though I didn't think it was this early in the season. AFAIK it is one take - the camera work certainly has enough movement throughout to suggest that matching any cuts would be really hard to do - which given it's ~11 minutes (1/5 of the episode) is pretty insane! As you said, it's fun to try and work out how they did it - obviously Charlie was switched out for a stunt guy for some of it, but just the logistics of getting him back past the camera to be swapped back in without ruining the take is pretty impressive, let alone the amount of choreography! Karen really doesn't seem to have much sense of self-preservation - what she did in the street could *easily* have backfired on her. It's not the first time she's done something so reckless either - it's quite likely that at some point she's going to get herself killed.

The action sequences in this season are by far my favourite. The prison fight scene lasted 11 minutes and was shot as a single take, which is super impressive. It took them under 12 hours to shoot this 11-minute scene, and Charlie Cox performed like 80% of the fight scenes himself, which was awesome to see. Fun Fact: The actor who plays Poindexter (Wilson Bethel) was actually a finalist for the role of Steve Rogers/Captain America, and obviously, Chris Evans got the role.

I remember Charlie Cox saying this was his favorite hallway scene. I could be wrong tho. In a interview he mentions putting a blood pack in his mouth without telling one of the stunt guys so when blood comes out the guy almost ruined the take because he thought he actually hurt him but he realized and recovered before the camera reaches his coverage. Even though you as an editor have an eye for catching edits and the switch ups I feel like this was still well done and I know i didn't pay attention to that stuff before I started editing things. Dex is not normal lol. I loved your reaction to him just stalking that poor girl and eating pizza. But why does the pizza part make it worse. Stalking is normal crazy. The pizza thing is obsessive crazy.
