Oh my god, this is one of my absolute favorite scenes—second only to the one in The Rise of Kyoshi where she airbends for the first time, thinking of Kelsang while Rangi is there. You’ve captured it so perfectly in your artwork—the emotion, the power, the atmosphere—it’s like watching the moment come alive right in front of me. I can feel everything Kyoshi’s feeling just by looking at it.

Man, F.C. Yee really nailed the nagging “tiger mom” aspect of Hei-Ran’s persona. And here you are, bringing us the goodies. I love this part in the book because poor Rangi is on the verge of exploding and what follows immediately is one of the cutest scenes ever. Bless Kyoshi not being able to contain her feelings for her girl.

I need to get this out of my system and I don’t care if I’m already running late to work. Whether you see or acknowledge this or not, you have a gift. People are drawn here because they see this too. For me, what you’re able to do…is bridge that gap, like a final piece of the puzzle, you complete the picture and make it whole. Like helping scratch that mysterious itch that can’t be scratched. Every time you post something like this I reach for the book again, go find the bookmark I created for the specific scene, reread and enjoy it all over again. You know how people wish they could experience something for the first time again? In a way, this fills that void. Your art adds another dimension on top of things and turns it into such a beautiful experience. Honestly, to me, it’s better than anything Team Avatar could ever officially, canonically release themselves. Not just because you convey emotions and scenes so well, pulling images straight from text in the book and bringing them to life like everyone else says…but because it’s simply YOURS. Thank you for taking us along for the ride, it’s always a pleasure, Marceline. You truly deserve all the praise in the world and more.

​Totally! I love that scene. Nancy's voice acting is spot-on. She nails the part of the daughter about to lose it from her mom's lectures, but holds back because she's too polite. It's also so cute how Kyoshi gets all flustered, thinking Rangi might just breathe fire. I love how they comfort each other. Ayyyyy!! ​Thank you for your kind words. ​Rangi's strict training in manners from Hei-Ran is surely the only reason she didn't breathe fire out of her ears or nose, haha. But srsly! it's a good thing fire or blood didn't actually come out of her ears😂

​I love how they get stressed out with each other for their own reasons whenever they're together. They're like a irl family. It's so cute how Kyoshi gets surprised when Rangi is helpless, and Rangi, who can't even rebel properly and is caught off guard, is also so lovable.

Just don’t be surprised when they come knocking!😉 and RIGHT?! There has been talks of a Kyoshi movie for a long while now, but I don’t know what’s true or not and it’s playing with my feelings and idk how much more my heart can take!!😭

I haven’t listened to the audiobook, and it sounds like i should. I don’t own a single one. 😅 This would be a first. We’re our own worst critic, so sometimes it’s nice to have people remind you that you’re doing great. And you are, you’re doing amazing✨. Keep doing what you’re doing. I gotchu. 🙂
