I was excited for this, and am not disappointed! One of my foundational ships. They were so toxic getting there, but had that happy ending. A children’s show had no business being that emotionally devastating. 😂

Spent a lot of time zoomed all the way in to appreciate in detail. The different angles and lighting letting you try different things. Keep up the incredible work. There’s an elegance and softness to their pose at the bottom. Specifically the way Adora’s fingertips gently rest on Catra’s shoulder, and the bend of her ear from Catra’s index finger. So very intimate. <3

I love that they both have amazing muscles from their training, but Adora is definitely more on the buff side while Catra is naturally lean and wiry. That size difference between them is just so good😔❤️

I'm so glad I didn't disappoint you😚 Catra got a lot of flak for her toxic behavior early on... but honestly, I think it was necessary for the fictional characters to draw out those dynamic emotions. It all wrapped up so well by having her reflect on her actions and ultimately becoming the savior who saves the savior. Plus, since it’s a show for kids, I think they handled the intensity and boundaries really well🤌🤌

Agree! Honestly it was shocking how deep the show was, and all the symbolism. I also appreciated that the “good guys” like Adora were just as toxic in their own way. Nate’s writing and reinterpretation of she-ra was peak. I loved Nimona it was amazing as well if you haven’t read/seen it.

One of the best parts of this show is watching their designs and relationship evolve season by season. I personally loved Catra’s design progression. It felt like watching a fluffy kitten lose its downy fur as it grows up😂I loved seeing those changes so much so I had to draw all of them on one screen😔🌟

Thank you Erika! These two are characters from a show called She-Ra. I’m not sure if it’s still on Netflix, but it caused a huge stir in the lesbian community, much like Avatar: Legend of Korra did. After Korra ended with the two girls characters holding hands in its 2014 finale, inspired by the groundbreaking steps taken by Korra; She-Ra took it a step further in 2020 by having them confess their love and kiss in the series finale🥹

I first realized I love women through Shizuru and Natsuki in Mai-HiME, and when I heard that the next generation discovered themselves through Korra, and the one after that through She-Ra or CaitVi, I truly realized the power of animation🥹🥹This is exactly why it’s so important for lesbians to be consistently represented across different media💪💪💪

literally one of the most amazing pieces of Catradora art I've seen in years... goodness me the sheer attention to detail makes me so happy!!! (the way Catra's mouth is open in the kiss is making something in me barkin gayyyy lmao) Also the S4 Catra with S5 She-Ra is insanely hot how you can see so much detail in their arms from the lighting!!! (also just a gorgeous view of Catra's boobs lmao)
