Hey,

For this month's sci-fi map, we want to pick from your suggestions!

So, what would you like us to make? It should be a single-level map (as much as we do love multilevels), and any extra info about theme/genre/inspiration is welcome!

How about a gritty dark sci-fi (warhammer 40k style) desalination plant, or something of that type, with a river or water course flowing through it. The processing centre of one of the rooms is covered in bio waste of a variety of types as the plant draws water in from pipes to the sea (or maybe just the sea), 'cleans it' then moves it to tanks for distribution. Does that sound any good?

Thistlethorn

A HR Giger inspired labyrinth. With organic chitin corridors, egg chambers, acid spills.

Tristan Riera

A Sci-Fi gouvernement chamber like the Senat or the Parliament. Because unlimited power!!

Dan Peak

A breached bomb shelter or vault, with evidence of a battle or uprising inside. Or perhaps something broke in, ate it's fill and is now living there....

CrashGem Tabletop

Derelict shopping mall. Good for sci-fi/sci-fantasy/post apoc/Cyberpunk

Jeff Barger

What about a ships brig or a city prison?

Paul Lawrence

Atami Street Market, darkness, rain, noodle bars, fixers, tattoists, gunrunners, ripperdocs side alley dealers in the exotic... forbidden and bizarre...

Samwise

Would love to see a Clone Wars-era modular set. I have a long running campaign using the hidden base rules that set your players up in an abandoned CIS Recusant-class destroyer.

Will Martin

A vast underground cryo-storage facility designed as a kind of bunker, a place for people to ride out the apocalypse ravaging the world above. Probably with three variants -- one where it's operational and full of working cryostasis tubes; one where it failed and the equipment is ruined or lacks power; and one mixing the two, where many tubes are ruined but a few are still working.

Lloyd Ritchey

Giant Map -- an ultra-posh beach-side residence enclosed with cyberpunk aesthetic barriers, etc to protect it from the proles.

Mark S

A circular restaurant that might rotate upon a central point/elevators to the street and/or roof, which could be a part of a larger space station or raised above a city below. (An alternative version of this could be a "space gangsters" offices including with various bizarre alien trophies).

albedoequals1

A control center of some sort, with a server room, mission control, conference room(s), security checkpoints, etc. Ideally it should be laid out so reaching the server room requires passing through most other points of interest, since that's the most likely target of a heist/raid

JamesCVK

A flying saucer, including a medical table with... probes... :P

Akari Enderwolf

modern day shopping mall, with abandoned variant?

Christopher R. Rice

Something with water. Maybe a dam. Maybe the inside of a ship. But something with water.

Mordecai Grimm

A Sci-Fi or even steampunk train. I’ve been looking for something that would suffice for a train heist.

Miquel Calduch

an abandoned military or resistance base (maybe Star Wars rebels). Halfway between a secret base and a cave. With a large flooded hangar as if it were an underground lake with remains of ancient ships.

Paul Ward

So I'm thinking along the lines of the movie Aliens. A reactor/spaceship/industrial complex map that has partially been terraformed by an invasive species for their own purposes. Mix of technology and organic such-and-such

Brian Guerrero

Gritty sci-fi colony town. Not cyberpunk, more dirty frontier. Modular buildings plus some newer, local construction.

Another idea - Alien ruins. Ancient, ancient lost civilization. Maybe even non-humanoid (rolly or oozy or gassy or multipedal). I'd love to see a series of maps of collapsed and over-grown street and bridge and structure ruins - maybe even across several different environments or planets - for some sci-fi dungeon crawling.
