Newsletter: Issue #3 (Patreon)

Hi there!

Welcome to our third newsletter. In this issue I'll be giving a recap of some recent releases, both on Patreon and DTRPG/DMsGuild, talking about some updates we've made to Patreon and finally a look at a very exciting commission we're working on.

Recent Patreon Releases

As always, we've been very busy making lots of cool maps for your enjoyment. A couple from the past 4-6 weeks that we think might catch your eye are below:

We've also started a new collaboration with Kelfecil's Tales and D&Demetrius called the Broken Expanse. This is intended to be a year long project. Each month, between us we'll produce a battemap (me), regional map (Demetrius) and gazetteer (Kelfecil), which will flesh out the campaign area and give you an amazing toolbox.

The first entry for it, The Unmoving Vale, was released a few weeks ago. Check it out here.

DTRPG and DMsGuild

We've been pretty busy with the commission I mentioned earlier (more on that soon), but I found time to add a few new maps to our DTRPG and DMsGuild catalogue. On the DTRPG front, I felt inspired to battlemap-ify a trio of Dyson Logos designs (with permission, of course).

These three are on DTRPG now

For DMsGuild, I fancied something with Lava, so added Bel's Forge from Descent Into Avernus to our extensive catalogue.

Patreon Tidy Ups!

As I'm sure lots of you know, Patreon isn't the best for organising files etc. It can be tricky to find things.

So , to help with that, we're making better use of the Collections feature. We've now got much clearer ways of finding the VTT Vault, and also the current claim codes for this current and previous month. We've also started creating themed VTT vault collections. There are so many maps in the VTT vault, these collections are a way of highlighting maps from the collection you might not be aware of, plus by grouping them into themes, it's easy for you to go "hmm, I need some Drow maps", and see a selection of what's available.

And finally - the commission!

We're really excited to tell you that we've been commissioned to make most (possibly all) of the battlemaps for the Cosmere RPG Mistborn Adventure, part of the record-breaking Kickstarter by Brotherwise Games!

Brotherwise Games are working their way through the full Cosmere setting, and now they're doing the Mistborn section. Part of that is a full adventure, and we've been working with them on the battlemaps. It's a very cool setting - if you've read the full seven Mistborn books you'll know that Books 1-3 have a Regency-period flavour, with dark red skies and oppression, whilst books 4-7 are more like 1930s pulp adventures . It's been so cool working on such varied settings.

We can't share too much, but can show you a couple of WIP pics - both from Era 2 - a city museum, and a 1930s train!

Really looking forward to sharing more of that with you all soon!
