Hey!

A new month, and that means new maps!

As you may recall, I'm using the monthly images in the 2026 D&D calendar to inspire the MotM.

For March, the image is this!

A very cool Dracolich!

So, I decided to make the lair of the Dracolich, which looks to be a ruined cathedral in a cavern. Taking that and the colour palette as inspiration, I came up with this!

For the variants, I did lairs for three differnt types of original dragon, before reaching Lich-hood. So, lairs for undead black, blue and red dragons.

Those maps have been uploaded to the VTT Vault, and full versions can be claimed from DTRPG either using the codes emailed to you or the codes linked below.

Alt Version

What should we do as an alt-version of this map? How would you change it? A different environment? A different use? Something inside?

Put your comments below and we'll put our favourites into a poll!

Thanks as always for your support!

Remove the skulls and the dragon head and make it Underdark themed. Insert some buildings and houses from Noc’ti’Sar drow theme and it would make a perfect Underdark city quarter supplement ❤️

Awesome I needed a dracolich map 💥

Great map! I'd love to see an underwater version of this. Maybe with only parts of it submerged. Like a lair for an aboleth.

For an alternate, would be cool to see it as a sunken temple, flooded with coral and other underwater details.

A non ruined version dating before the arrival of the dracolich ? A throne room for deep gnomes ? Or the laboratory and library of a lich with the skulls already there ?

Why do only chromatic dragons get to have all of the "fun" of lichdom? How about a silver or gold dragon who used to guard a sacred temple, now defiled by the dragons presence, after falling victim to the dark rites of the Cult of the Dragon?
