Hey everyone,

We asked you for suggestions as to the alt-version of the Barbarian gladiator school we previewed at the start of the month.

We've got five alt-version ideas suggested by you guys, so pick your favourites and vote!

Orc Wind Rider Outpost - high in the mountains, a 'stables' for winged creatures ridden by orcs

Duergar Prison and Fighting Pit - Underdark Duergar prison, with lots of cells and an arena for prisoners to fight monsters

Drow Sacrificial Plaza - another Underdark setting, this time a Drow temple, cult area and sacrificial altar

Spell Casting Arena - a large space used by a cadre of wizards for collective spell casting

I personally really dislike arenas, would prefer more unique stuff.

Voted for the Elven council but what I would love to see is palm trees and jungle foliage rather than a deciduous woodland arena - maybe even add some ritual carved stones!

I'd really love to see a drow sacrificial plaza; elven senate probably appeals to me the least out of all the options, I'm sure it will be a fine map whatever it ends up being but we just got elven-themed forest plaza-like map 2 or 3 months ago that can work as a senate just fine, I'd much rather see something unique rather than basically a repetition of an idea from not that long ago with some variations

I like the Drow idea even better than my Underdark idea, so that gets my vote. :-)

Anything but the Drow one... I hate maps that are so D&D specific that I can't use them for anything I actually play.

I genuinely don't understand why the senate map is getting so many votes. I think some people are voting on it because it sounds cool rather than its practical use. Scenes like it are better described through DM/GM narration or enhanced with a piece of art. I know they can happen, but how often is there going to be a grid-based encounter at/in a political meeting? My point isn't that it would be difficult for me to use, I think it would be difficult for most people to use.

It can also fit in as an Greek-style open air theatre or even a practice arena or even judgement arena. I voted for it because it was the most likely to fit a tropical site. It’s why I noted a desire for palm trees as I have a tropics based game
