Hey everyone!

Hope everyone has had a nice summer!

You'll be getting the reward bundle for September in a couple of days - full of awesome maps you'll love!

We wanted to remind you, in case you missed it, that we've got a Lost Mine of Phandelver set of maps and DM resources available at DMsGuild, and you can get 40% off each set using the codes in this post:  Lost Mine of Phandelver

We've also started working on another pack for DMsGuild - anyone recognise this location?

Your games!

We'd love to hear what's happening in your games! Let us know in the comments:

What's happened in the last session?

What system are you playing?

Which maps have you used?

A Request

Over the past year we've seen the number of Patreon supporters fall each month. We appreciate that times are difficult for everyone and that people have less money available for hobby and leisure spending.

With the changes to Twitter etc it's getting harder to make our Patreon known to people, and we're surprised by how often we hear people tell us 'Oh, I didn't know you guys had a Patreon'.

If you can find 5 minutes to share a link to our Patreon on your Twitter/Reddit/Facebook etc that would be massively appreciated!

-- Patreon Schedule --

5th September- Rewards: September's reward bundles should be ready for download.  Everyone that had their payment processed by Patreon at the beginning of this month will receive their rewards DTRPG codes.  This will contain all the maps, whilst the adventure supplement and the one page GM resource are uploaded to Patreon.

8th September- MotM: We'll preview your October Map of the Month.

12th September-  Poll: 48hr poll opens for the Alt version of the Map of the Month. You decide what we make.

18th September- Sci-Fi: Reveal of Sci-Fi map for our $8 tier patrons.

21st September- Alt-Map: We'll preview the finished version of your October Alt-map., and variants of the MotM

22nd September- Third Map: We'll preview the Third Map  -

26th August - MegaDungeons: The next levels for the MegaDungeon and Sci-Fi MegaMap levels are ready for a preview.

Reward Delivery Reminder

We use DrivethruRPG to deliver our rewards.  On Rewards Day you'll get sent a set of codes for the maps which have been uploaded to DrivethruRPG (the maps that your support has funded) .

Clicking these codes will add the maps to your DTRPG account for free. You are then free to download the maps whenever you choose - they'll stay in your account at DTRPG forever. We just ask that you click the code and claim the maps within 2 months of receiving the code.

Now's a good time to make sure you've claimed last month's rewards :)

Thanks, and have a great month!

My group is closing in on Xanathar’s lair in Waterdeep: Dragon Heist after successfully stealing a certain artifact component from another set of villains in that module. I hope Heroic Maps will one day create maps for the villain lairs in that module. I am also running another group through Acquisitions Incorporated next month, and using Heroic Maps’ Lore of Lurue Candlekeep Mysteries maps for a runthrough of that adventure. Looks like from the screenshot you’re working on Kandlekeep Dekonstruction! Hope to get that soon.

My group is in the middle of Book of the Raven (with some modifications since as written it’s not the best) - your pdf supplement has been a great help there and of course the maps are brilliant. I’m really looking forward to seeing Kandlekeep Dekonstruktion released.

My online group bluffed their way past a gauntlet of Armed caravans, Sentry towers, and trapped bridges by pretending to me circus performers. The arrived at the main dungeon-ish area and are in a large landing with a lava lake behind them, and scores of Kobolds and assorted dragonkin expecting a show.

My in person group were sent to meet a party bringing them part of my overall "path McGuffin" but instead found the remains of their wagon and goats on a bridge and are currently facing down a cave complex of trolls.

"planned for the next month" "Planned??? Hahahahahaha

The location is The Barn Door...which means Kandlekeep DeKonstruktion is coming soon! :-) I was going to ask here if we'd see it this month. In my main game we're wrapping up Waterdeep: Dragon Heist which was heavily modified for Tier 3 play and all 4 seasons / Villains at once. Everybody just leveled to 13th. Game has been running 2.5 years or so. Wet just finished a MASSIVE 7 faction battle that took nearly 8 hours of playtime to complete (while leaving the vault), and to say it was wild is an understatement. By far our biggest wildest combat to date, at one point over 70 combatants! Vajra died, and is now in the Blackstaff. Aurinax almost died. Manshoon's Simulacrum died quickly, but then the Real Deal showed up with an Adult Red and things got interesting real quick. Mirt died and the Harpers were nearly wiped. Lord's Alliance (and Laerel) showed up late, just in time to save the day, her Silverfire rezzing Mirt. The party has strong connections with most of the factions (for better or worse), so everybody kind of saw this coming but still was shocked to see it ALL unfold at once in a literal Battle Royale. We ended last week in the Palace of Waterdeep throne room, the party is delivering the 500,000 gp, and giving a lot of the credit to Jarlaxle to try to get Luskin into the Lord's Alliance. The party was LITERALLY about to be made Heroes of Neverwinter in a few tendays, and are throwing all of that way 'cause once they learned the truth of Dagult Neverember, they were like "F*#k that guy". :-P Up next is a return to Candlekeep to do some more research (and likely have some fun times with a few crazy gnomes lol), then they are likely back to Neverwinter to try to find the Alagondar Heir, since they are likely to be on the outs with Dagult anyway... Then, hopefully, finally back onto the main quest line / campaign arc. :-P Gotta love campaigns where ALL of Dragon Heist is a "diversion".

My group ist currently in the beginnings of a longer Star Trek Adventures campaign aboard the nebula class starship U.S.S. Ramis NCC-61984. I was already able to use the alien forest and several forest paths maps for away team missions, as well as the top level of the Petraluna Corp Prison Mine as a science station, where all scientists suffered under some kind of devolution. The crew was able to revert that, no worries. In the next session my players will face off with some neural parasites (as seen in tng season 1) who infiltrated the romulan star empire, which they discovered on a routine rescue mission. After that there will be a mission with an old earth starship that will definitely challenge the players, if they want to adhere to the prime directive. So, like, business as usual :D

I just discovered Spelljammer. After BG3 we were going to do an FR game, but now we swapped to Spelljammer, because I never played it before! We havn't had session 1 yet, still planning the game.
