Hey everyone,

Time for a preview!

Next month's MotM is here - a huge temple in a volcanic landscape!

The Variants are planned for this - Shadow/Darkness,  Spider Nest & Bones.

Alt-Version

We'd like to hear your suggestions for an Alt-Version of this map.  How could we modify or reskin it to make it into something new?  What else could be here? What different environment?

If the ‘Throne Room’ could be altered to a normal floor and have a big icethrone inserted it could be a great stronghold on a mountain top for a Frost Giant.

An underwater sea temple, with walls covered in seaweed, and coral growths and huge shells. And/or an above water temple on a coastal cliff, with a stormy sea under the bridge...

A ruined cloud giant temple, still floating high in the sky - but one wrong step and it's a loooooong way down!

This might sound mundane, but I was looking through maps on Heroic Maps and I didn't find many maps for mundane locations for a game I was running. Like a civic building such as a "Town Hall" or what not. Court house. Etc etc. Something this shape could fit that.

Kind of trivial, but it would be more useful to me with water or swamp outside rather than lava. Looks great though!

A couple of possibilities: 1. take out the walls and doors so that it's just a series of linked platforms floating in the clouds or on the Ethereal/Astral plane. 2. instead of a chasm with lava beneath, the entry hall has a wall of energy, radiance, fog, or whatever that the adventurers must find a way through to get to the other side. Maybe the topmost room is the generator that powers the barrier.

I would love an Underdark Stronghold, for some Drow Queen. We need more Underdark themed locations for sure!

A tidal cliff shrine A regular temple in a mountain but after an earthquake or maybe some deity cleaved the front face off

It looks like it has the makings of a solid Dwarven Throne room around the top hexagon...

What about a RoC vibe ? An old temple of a forgotten god lost in a mutated, abandoned land with unsane trees and plants outside and roots making their way inside eating at the walls. Maybe melted rocks that take half-formed shapes of daemons or victims. Lit by ethereal torches that should have died aeons ago but are still lit by some foul magic. A stained alter in the center of the dais and maybe a eightfold star somewhere ?
