SXD: The Incident (Patreon)

Weiss Schnee had seen a lot of ridiculous things since meeting Issei Hyoudou and against all logic and better judgment, became his girlfriend. From his absurd physical strength, the magical red gauntlet, his hidden red wings that granted him the ability to fly, to him being able to breathe fire. She had accepted all of that, begrudgingly, with gritted, clenched teeth, a massive migraine or two and a steadily growing list of “Things I Will Never Be Emotionally Prepared For” written somewhere in her mind. She had come to understand one simple truth: Issei Hyoudou was not normal. But nothing. Absolutely nothing could have prepared her for this.
It had started like any other mission that Headmaster Ozpin assigned. With that calm, pleasant smile, that if it weren’t for his position as the headmaster of a very prestigious huntsman academy, Weiss would find to be full of suspicion.
Headmaster Ozpin had briefed them as the mission involved a group of rogue Huntsmen who had gone off the grid, as a string of villages on Vale’s outer border had reported “Huntsmen” coming through and demanding supplies, threatening families, and leaving anyone who resisted beaten and humiliated. Every witness described them as skilled, trained and coordinated.
Team RWBY, accompanied by Issei, was tasked with stopping them and bringing them in. So far, everything had gone smoothly. As they were quickly able to find the group as they had tracked the rogues to a clearing near a small creek, close enough to the villages that the group was about to strike and then retreat.
The fight started quickly as the clearing was torn up as grass was trampled, saplings broken, with various dust scarring the dirt. The rogues had been expecting trouble and were ready to fight.
Weiss could hear Ruby’s boots skid over loose soil as Crescent Rose snapped into firing form.
“Okay!” Ruby called, voice bright in that way she got when she was focused and excited. “Let’s do this clean and quick!”
Yang cracked her knuckles. “Clean, quick, and preferably with me punching somebody into next week.”
Blake’s eyes narrowed, ears hidden under her bow but her posture alert. “They’re in formation. Don’t underestimate them.”
Weiss’s gaze flicked to Issei.
Who stood a step ahead of them, relaxed in a way that was deeply offensive given the situation with his hands loose, shoulders easy, like this was a stroll instead of a fight with armed criminals.
Weiss stood with Myrtenaster poised, her breath steady, eyes sharp and was quickly locked in combat as her rapier clashed with an axe. Ruby was already darting through the fight like a crimson blur. Yang was laughing as she traded blows. Blake moved like a shadow between opponents.
Issei… was Issei. Casually deflecting attacks. Barely dodging. Looking more like he was sparring than fighting for his life.
Then one of the rogues, a particularly aggressive woman wielding twin daggers — snarled and lunged straight for him.
“Weiss!” Ruby shouted as she noticed the danger.
Weiss was already moving on instinct. While she knew that Issei would be okay as he was too strong. But that didn’t matter as even if there was a slight chance of him being in danger she would help him. She was already forming a Glyph, ready to intercept—
But then, as if by instinct, Issei had just pushed his opponent away, not too hard. Just enough physical contact to send her stumbling back a step as his hand brushed against her jacket and then with a snap of his fingers. He shouted, “Dress Break!”
For a split second, nothing happened causing Weiss to frown.
Then a faint, ominous glow pulsed over the rogue Huntress’s body.
BOOM.
And then, in an instant, the woman’s outfit exploded into shreds of fabric and dust, scattering into the air like confetti, leaving her standing there in absolutely nothing.
Silence. Complete. Utter. Reality-shattering silence.
The rogue Huntress froze, eyes wide in dawning horror.
Weiss’s brain quickly shut down as she couldn’t believe what had just happened.
The rogue Huntress screamed. She later dropped her daggers and desperately scrambled to cover herself, face burning red as her teammates stared at her in shock, confusion, and absolute disbelief.
Issei, meanwhile, stared at the now very naked female opponent and began to admire the beauty. He didn't know what happened or what he did but he grinned at the now naked woman and then clapped his hands in prayer and then bowed. “Oppai!! Thank you for the food.”
Something inside Weiss died. Myrtenaster slipped from her fingers and clattered uselessly to the ground. She then turned, slowly, mechanically, to look at him. “WHAT DID YOU DO!!?”
Issei blinked. “Uh… I guess I did a Dress Break?”
Her hands began to shake. “You have,” She said slowly, dangerously, “an ability that destroys clothing?”
He scratched the back of his head. “Well… apparently.”
Weiss’s eye twitched. “Apparently?!”
“I mean, I really don’t know how I did it!” he said quickly, raising his hands defensively as her Aura flared. “It just… came out! Randomly!”
Her voice dropped to a lethal whisper. “You—why would you even have that?!”
Issei laughed nervously. “Ehehe… well… uh…”
The silence stretched.
Until Weiss snapped. “YOU ABSOLUTE, SHAMELESS, DEGENERATE BRUTE!”
Ice surged across the battlefield as Weiss launched herself at him, icicles forming midair and firing like artillery.
Issei screamed. “WAIT WEISS, TIME OUT!!”
Weiss continued to growl and chased him across the battlefield, shouting creative threats while Issei screamed for his life. “You will pay for this! I will freeze you solid and leave you as a decorative statue in my room!”
“I DIDN’T MEAN TO!! SOMEONE HELP ME!”
Meanwhile, Ruby, Blake, and Yang stood off to the side, watching the chaos unfold.
Ruby tilted her head. “…So, uh… we should probably help him, right?”
Blake quickly took out her book and didn't even look up. She just calmly flipped a page. “No. He deserves this.”
Yang crossed her arms, grinning ear to ear. “This is the most fun I’ve had all week.”
Issei screamed, sprinting for his life while dodging a hailstorm of ice. “HELP ME, DAMMIT!”
The rogue Huntsmen forgot they were criminals.
Because at that moment, they were witnessing something far more terrifying than any Hunter.
A furious Weiss Schnee.
