Personality

Issei is perverted, loud, shameless, and emotionally transparent, often to his own detriment. His perverted nature remains a fundamental aspect of his character. He openly declares his dream of becoming a Harem King and doesn't shy away from appreciating beautiful women. However, unlike a typical pervert, Issei is bluntly honest about his desires rather than being sneaky or manipulative. This honesty, though shocking at times, gains him respect from those around him.

Has an innate sense of justice and a desire to protect others with deep empathy as he comforts and reassures friends and family as well as strangers. Capable of forgiving even enemies as long as they don't hurt his people.

Background 

Originally an average teenager in Kuoh, Issei’s life changed when the Dimensional Watch, an artifact from an interstellar war that fused to his wrist and awakened the dragon Ddraig within his soul. Revealing that he was secretly the next Sekiryūtei by possessing the legendary longinus Sacred Gear: Boosted Gear. Since then, Issei’s life now revolves around dimensional travel, fights, unexpected responsibilities, and personal growth while keeping his defining personality traits intact. While at the same time building a home for the people, who accepted and loved him.

Fuyuki City (Jump 1): He has saved Yuuka and Misuki Hana from a serial killer, summoned Tamamo-no-Mae as his Caster, and rescued Sakura from the Matou estate.

Shinto Teito (Jump 2): He became an Ashikabi to a "flock" of six Sekirei (Uzume, Matsu, Yashima, Akitsu, Karasuba, and Miya Asama), eventually raiding MBI headquarters to avenge Akitsu’s past torture.

Description

The Boosted Gear manifests as a red, scale-plated gauntlet with a green jewel embedded in the center. Inside resides Ddraig, one of the Two Heavenly Dragons, whose power once rivaled gods. The gear amplifies the user’s power exponentially, at the cost of bodily strain and stamina. Ddraig often speaks directly into Issei’s mind, guiding or chastising him.

Abilities 

Boost: Every ten seconds, the Boosted Gear doubles Issei’s current power, strength, speed, defense, aura, and energy output until he reaches his physical or mental limit. Each “Boost” is marked by the green gem flashing and Ddraig’s deep voice echoing the activation. 

Transfer: Can pass stored Boosts to allies or objects, granting them a temporary surge in strength. Transfers can be inconsistent as there is a loss of energy during the process.

Explosion: Unleashes all stored boosts in a single devastating attack or shockwave.

Weaknesses

Excessive boosting without proper cooldown severely damages his body.

Emotional instability can cause corruption, making him lose control.

Requires strong willpower to prevent the host's rage from influencing his judgment.

Boosts require the host to have sufficient stamina to continue.

Causes great strain to the host.

If the host fails to control the rising energy, his body risks internal tearing and the body overloading.

Balance Breaker: Scale Mail

The Scale Mail generates a Dragon Armor while drastically increasing the user's power, abilities, speed, and defense. It also temporarily allows the user to use the power of the Boosted Gear without the 10-second interval. The armor is also capable of repairing itself from almost any damage it takes. Wearing the armor and the duration it stays activated depends on the user's physical and mental condition, otherwise it can be severely lethal to them, so the Sacred Gear forcefully removes the armor when the wearer reaches their limit as a fail-safe. How much the armor repairs itself depends on the wearer's stamina. Even with the protection of the Scale Mail, the wielders are still susceptible to Dragon-slaying attacks.

Dimensional Watch Functions (Sherri):

Sherri analyzes Issei’s surroundings for threats and target reading. While at the same time  stabilizing/limiting Issei, so he doesn’t instantly self-destruct when his power spikes out of control.

Interdimensional Travel: Allows Issei and his family to jump between worlds and realities.

Teleportation (Short-Range Warp): The Watch can perform controlled repositioning whenever the user is in extreme danger. It’s not infinite and not free as it uses Issei energy.

Barrier Projection: The Watch generates an invisible barrier for Issei that allows him to be hidden from supernatural senses and stops outside influences from affecting him. But has the effect of lessening Issei’s presence and covering his total power.

High-Depth Sensors: A radar system capable of scanning threats and mana signatures within a ten-kilometer radius.

Universal Translation: Instantly converts foreign languages, allowing Issei to communicate in any dimension.

Output Limiter & Energy Management: Sherri actively stabilizes Issei's power levels to prevent his body from overloading or self-destructing.

Reinforcement Spell (Magecraft-style Enhancement): Issei can reinforce his body and/or objects with a simple, brute-force enhancement spell. He uses it as a “baseline buff” to stabilize his movement, hits, and durability.

Miki Hyoudou (Mother): The emotional center of the home. She’s affectionate, nosy, and dangerously enthusiastic about “grandkids,” but she also provides warmth and stability for people who’ve never had it.

Sakura Hyoudou (Daughter): His precious adopted daughter whom he rescued from the Matou family. The turning point that permanently rewires Issei’s priorities. Sakura’s presence is one of the few things that can instantly sober him up, and she’s a quiet anchor that makes Issei take responsibility seriously. Yuuka Hana (First Girlfriend): One of Issei’s most emotionally grounded relationships. Originally an "Ice Queen," she became his first real partner after he saved her and her mother from a serial killer. Yuuka carries sharp instincts, and she’s fiercely protective of what she considers “hers.” She challenges him, checks him, and supports him, making her one of his strongest emotional pillars.

Misuki Hana (???): Bold in her own way, and far more willing to “risk it” than she pretends. Misuki’s relationship with Issei is a mix of affection, jealousy-fueled competitiveness, and genuine warmth. Tamamo-no-Mae (First Wife): A Caster-class Servant and aspect of the goddess Amaterasu. She is unapologetically devoted, theatrical, affectionate and possessive in a playful way, but when the situation turns serious, she becomes terrifyingly competent. She treats Issei like “her husband” long before anyone is ready to admit it, and she enjoys provoking reactions, especially from the household.

Uzume (Second Wife): Issei’s first Sekirei. Loud, wild, shameless, and very physical, Uzume loves big reactions, and Issei is basically her favorite target. She’s the type to escalate affection into a challenge. Under the chaos, she’s loyal and protective when it counts.

Matsu (Third Wife): A "brainy chaos gremlin" and tech genius. One of the most openly affectionate in the harem, that is an open pervert that matches Issei. She tends to treat romance like a “reward system” and acts with playful confidence that catches Issei off-guard and is vital for the family's logistics, technology, and planning.

Yashima (Fourth Wife): A quiet and submissive girl. Yashima has a strong desire to serve and obey her Ashikabi. But Issei would love it if she became a bit more open about her wants and desires. She is working on becoming more independent while providing support through her strength.

Miya Asama (Seventh Wife/ Officially the true Second Wife): The former landlady of Izumo Inn. “Big sister/mom” energy with serious competency. She was a widow who initially resisted her feelings for Issei before allowing herself to be winged. Miya balances warmth with discipline as she’ll fuss over Issei, then immediately drag everyone into structure when the household becomes a tornado. Their dynamic is supportive and grounding, with Miya acting as one of the stabilizers of the family unit.

Erza Scarlet (Second Girlfriend): A strong authority figure who recently discovered romantic feelings for Issei after he provided her emotional support during the Tower of Heaven incident. She was granted permission by the other girls to join the harem. Issei regularly respects Erza’s presence as it forces him to behave (sometimes). She values discipline and backbone.

Mirajane Strauss (Romantic interest): A warm and observant senior member of Fairy Tail. The girls identified her "budding crush" on Issei and have authorized him to take her on a date. Mira likes the household dynamic and absolutely notices the affection wars. She’s supportive, but her “sweetness” doesn’t stop her from pouting when Issei’s girls show off.

Natsu Dragneel: Brother-in-arms energy. Natsu respects Issei fast because Issei throws himself into danger with the same reckless sincerity. They train together (especially fire), bicker like idiots, and would throw hands for each other without thinking.
