Actually, there are two other "Named" characters that appear in the opening, that have been seen in every episode since season 1 ep. 1, The first is Rachel, the girl Angel saved from her abusive boy friend in Ep 3. The other is The poor fellow getting walled up by his mother, who becomes 'Phantom Dennis' in Ep 5 Rm w/a Vu.

If you've ever watched the television show Enterprise, you will have seen the actor who played the werewolf expert. Although you don't see his actual face, as it's covered by prosthetics and makeup. He was Dr. Phlox.

I'm not sure if Oz could've helped Nina get used to her transformation. When he showed up in Sunnydale, he thought he had cured himself, but his negative emotions caused him to revert to his werewolf form. Then again, perhaps the rituals Oz had to perform would help Nina as well, as long as she kept her emotions in check.
