"If wishes were horses, then beggars would ride." -- Apparently, a Scottish proverb from the 1600s--I just looked up.

I remember an episode in season three (Dad), shortly after Connor was born, where Angel distracted people searching for Connor by pretending to drive off with him. The others, in the meantime, actually had him and had taken him to the hospital to run tests. While there, they had to fill out forms, some requiring the father's name, so Cordy (I think) gave him a last name.

I really like this episode. The tale of the five brothers is so sad and yet heartwarming. I don't really know anything about Mexican culture or wrestling, but I hope it is represented well here. And yeah I agree, it sucks that Angel always needs to be the big hero. I think the only exception is when Doyle sacrificed himself, and that was just because it was the end of his character. Even in Billy, when Lilah got to be the one to kill him, Angel just had to be immune for some reason. I think the stories would be much more interesting if he wasn't the "Great Big Hero" (Cordelia's words) all the time. It's one of the major gripes I have with the show.

Spike will grab any opportunity to bring Angel down a notch, won't he? Trying to start a rumor that Angel beat up #5.

Ron Fehr

Closing the Hellmouth didn't seem heroic to Spike when compared to saving Fred's life.

Do you have his number? Yes, it's number 5.

They gave him a first name actually. Geraldo......Geraldo Angel. lol But yea....that made Connor's legal name Connor Angel.

I thought about it afterwards, and I remembered that it was the first name that was given him. But I did forget the name. Thank you for reminding me.

Angel doesn't believe in the Shanshu prophecy? So didn't he believe in the prophecy that Buffy was going to die (season one of Buffy)?

"If I wishes were horses.." 'beggars would ride' is a proverb meaning that wishful thinking doesn't achieve anything by itself.
