Alley's channel: https://www.youtube.com/alleybox

Hi friendssssss, WE ARE BACKKKK (Though it's not a reaction this time)!!!! On our last video we noticed we didn't need the episode to make us talk, we were already talking enough and constantly getting side tracked anyways! I hope this Buffy/Angel/Reacting/Life/Miscellaneous convo is entertaining. It has spoilers up until Buffy 4x09 and Angel 1x10, which is where I'm currently at.... I guess y'all will be getting spoilers about some of my future reactions ;)

Also, I was the one who edited this time, which means I need to apologize immensely for how annoying I am, this was the worst thing I've ever had to edit and sent me into a million spirals so if I'm terrible on it, I'm sorry. But I hope all of you enjoy it ♡

"Gucci vs. Walmart " Just pointing out that I work at a Walmart. And I'm not angry about comparing the two. I obviously realize the quality difference. I guess I was just amused when Walmart came up in the conversation. By the way I'm still in the middle of watching your video. You and Alley seem to feel comfortable chatting with each other.

Ron Fehr

I just recently watched Rm w/a vu. I just pictured you coming up with a similar title for this video. Lol

I'm so excited for 'I will remember you' - When I watched S3 in the 90s I was in the same mind as Alley regarding Bangel because of the spin-off. However I've rewatched the early seasons again and Bangel reminded me how much chemistry they have. After rewacthing the IWRY episode I came to the same conclusion about shipping Buffy with anyone else after that and that still hasn't changed for me this time around. It will be interesting to see how you feel as the show progresses :)

A good Buffy day for me. Anthony Head answered one of my tweets, and now this.

I've watched the first 43:21 (keeping it memorable) minutes and I'm wishing that 1. It wasn't so late at night and 2. I still had that Guinness I drank last night. I feel that being drunk watching you drunk would make it feel more cosy. Unfortunately, It's 'shopping Day' tomorrow - two hours in ASDA (Owned by Walmart) and I can't drive hungover anyway. So - saving the final hour until after I've recovered from the monthly shopping trip with a really hot, strong cup of tea. There might be a crumpet.

I loved this just as much as the last one, if not more! I would love it to be a regular thing :-) Maybe carve pumpkins together? <3 IWRY is a pretty amazing ep in the Buffyverse, no matter how you slice it. I was never much of a Bangel shipper, so on my first watch I was Alley: OMFG I am so ready for this to be over! On rewatchings, tho, I treasure that ep as one of THE quintessential Bangel moments, so I can't wait for your reaction.

Veronika

You guyyyys! I did not expect this but I am so here for it! I was just recently rewatching your drunk rewatch and I was hoping that you would collab again soon and here it is <3 I am sooo happy! Domi, you have no idea how much I need to see your reaction to IWRY...I was very excited for Alley to watch it but since she was so over Bangel she did not enjoy it as much as I thought she would so I was a little disappointed but I still loved her reaction very much. I only saw a preview of your reaction and I know I will cry like a baby and hope I could share my Bangel feels with you <3 I just can't wait for your reactions! Amazing collab and I can't wait for part 2!

Veronika

OMG! You did not...Jenny at the end! Awwww <3 I am so proud you always find a way to mention Jenny and it's just so heartwarming...I miss her too <3

Lee Wilcock

That's why I get them to deliver, and order on the website.

Domi E

I’m so curious too Effie!! I guess we’ll see soon enough!!

Domi E

OMG!! THAT’S AWESOME!!

Domi E

Oh good luck with that Richard!! And get some drinks for part 2 of course 😎😎

Domi E

I love this idea!! And thank you! I’m so excited to share it!!

Domi E

Thanks so much Veronika❤️❤️❤️

Domi E

Hehe I miss her so much!!

When you were talking about your favorite episodes, I thought about my favorite 'sad' episode. Not wanting to spoil anything for you, my favorite sad episode that you've already watched would have to be season 2 episode 22, Becoming Part 2. I didn't blame Buffy for leaving Sunnydale. Coming in second would have to be Willow and Oz's breakup. I think the title was Where the Wild Things Are.

Ron Fehr

I noticed that there are quite a few Buffyverse watchers on YouTube. Because of my expenses, I limited myself to just you and Alley on Patreon. I did support Shan of AfterShowReacts while she was watching Buffy. I don't recall if she watched Angel, but I think she might have. It was so long ago for me that I don't remember.

CeNedra

Yup she did 😄

Shaun Houghton

Wild At Heart, Willow and Oz broke up in Wild At Heart. Don't even mention that other thing.

Ron Fehr

Thanks Shaun. I knew the word Wild was in the title.

If you take a drink every time Domi says "I'm going to sue the writers" in her reactions, you will end up more drunk than they are in this video.

Alley's comment at 23+ minutes is on point. Back when Buffy and Angel were on I never knew the titles of the episodes before watching them. They didn't display them at the bottom of the screen like they do with some shows nowadays (*coughcough*Supernatural*coughcough*). I think many of us didn't know episode titles until we bought the DVD's which weren't released until after each season was over with. That's when I first started learning episode titles anyway. There is one exception in the Buffyverse that I can think of. I remember when they advertised the two-part ending for season 2 of Buffy, they did call it "Becoming" in the commercial. But the title is pretty vague and mysterious. Nowadays, with so much of tv entertainment being so digitized and available on streaming websites like Netflix, knowing episode titles is much more common. One major flaw the Buffyverse writers still committed, however, was displaying spoilers for guest stars in the opening credits. Just one more reason to sue the writers.

Steve Quast

Both the season 2 and season 3 finales were great, but I agree with you, Domi. I like Becoming much better. It hits you a lot harder emotionally. Season 3 finale is still pretty epic, though.

Ron Fehr

One thing that I wondered about Kendra was her parents' decision to give her to her watcher. There was no guarantee that she would become the next Slayer. What if someone else had been chosen? While she would be better able to defend herself, it seems that some of her training would have been in vain.

Steve Quast

Speaking of Drusilla, people often say that Angelus was the main big bad of season 2, and in many ways he was, but I think a good case can be made that Drusilla is the closest thing to a singular big bad throughout the season, mainly because of the parallels she has with The Master. Both the Master and Drusilla are in prisons for many episodes. While the Master is in a mystical prison, Drusilla's prison is her weakness. Both the Master and Drusilla attempt to begin an apocalyptic scenario when they're released from their prisons. Both the Master and Drusilla have the power of hypnosis. Both the Master and Drusilla kill a slayer at the end of their respective seasons. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

I recall a couple of other scenes in Buffy where Cordy and Angel interacted. In one scene (the Halloween episode I think), Buffy enters The Bronze and sees the two of them together at a table. Also a scene in the school library (I forget the episode title), Cordy is scared of something and asks Angel to take her home.

Ron Fehr

You know some of my views by now. I saw the forehead kiss with Faith more as a thank you as well as a caring kiss. But I totally understand how you view it differently, and I don't deny the possibility of sparks flying between them.

Domi E

Yup those were heartbreaking episodes!

Domi E

You okay there bud?

Domi E

That really is so interesting, I had never thought of that! And yup the credits spoil a lot so I’ve had to stop reading them. I’ll add it to my lawsuit for you!!

Domi E

Yeah that’s a really good point. Kendra’s background is so interesting, I wish we could have explored it more!

Domi E

Great point!! And also while we’re at it… DRUSILLAAAAAAAA COME BACK TO MEEEEE (and pls bring darla!!)

Domi E

Oh yes good points!!

Domi E

There were def some sparks!

Ron Fehr

Domi had a great point. The buildup to the season 3 finale left us thinking that it would be harder to defeat the mayor than it actually was. Disappointing how easy it was.

Domi E

Yeah I def felt that!!
