PS: As S5 approaches I've been feeling comments getting more spoilery and therefore have decided I should have some moderators on Patreon and Youtube to make sure I don't get spoiled something accidentally. You definitely don't want season 5 spoiled of all things. It's a shame some people can be so....people-y. I love your comment about Oz above lol. When you mentioned you thought Oz might have been coming back in this episode in your last reaction, I thought of the irony of just having to wait one episode longer. Anyway, this episode is not a fan favorite and is, unfortunately, down there with my two other least favorite of the season. But, it's still Buffy, so here we go!

I never really thought about Forest and Graham going down to the Initiative basement, and then not following up on anything. I would suppose that since it's happening at the Initiative frat house, they pretty much had to show their natural reaction to such things, and it would be odd with them being up in the house with all that stuff happening, and not really doing anything, but also that the Initiative is pretty useless in supernatural things that can't just be shot or stabbed, or captured. So they are aware of the problem, they are looking into how to fight it, but they got nothing.

I don't care for this episode. Superstar at least isn't as insular as it is dealing with the aftermath of Faith while providing needed levity, but you can pluck Where The Wild Things Are out of the viewing list and you won't be lost because mostly everything in it happens and is resolved in the episode, and yeah, people expect episodes like that not near the end of a season. The episode peaks with Giles on the guitar.

Oh and as for willow's crush on Giles, there are hints in the earlier seasons. In one episode you can see she has a photo of her and Giles in her locker (cant remember the episode). In 3x3, when faith says giles is young and cute, buffy says "raise your hand if eeww." xander does but willow just smiles

Need to point out that Tara is pronounced with a hard A not a soft a. Between the T and last A it should sound like AIR, rather than ARE.

Your sister was in the room and didn't come on camera? That's kinda sad that she doesn't want to say hi :-( This episode is not the greatest. A lot of the imagery and symbolism is just weird. Spike talking himself out of helping is fun, but him offering in the first place just feels forced in order to get that joke in. Tara indeed seems to be completely part of the gang now, doing research with them and everything.

Got to the part where you speculate if Giles blowing up on that woman was about Faith. I don't think it is. Faith was barely ever Giles' responsibility, and when she goes off the deep end Giles isn't either girl's watcher and Faith is Wesley's responsibility. But you brought up guilt so I rewatched the scene and him getting emotional over the abuse and traumatization of children leads me to one place. Guilt about Helpless and what he did to Buffy, only one season ago.

I always kinda got big Go Fish vibes off this one. It's silly, it's weird, it's fine, it's whatever. But one underrated aspect of both this and Go Fish is that it provides a good place for the audience to catch it's breath and get in some chuckles before all the crazy shit starts to roll in that we've come to expect end-of-season.

I don't like ranking episodes, but this would definitely be low on my list. I'm of a similar opinion, Domi. It's not a bad episode, but there were just things that made me not like it as much. A couple of scenes I do like however. Buffy's comment 'I'll get horny", had me chuckling as well. However, the best had to be Giles singing and the gang's reaction. It was made better by Xander's response being totally opposite from the girls'.

Ahh, my least favorite episode of the show. Giles singing and the Spike scenes are pretty much the only things that make me tolerate a rewatch.

Your idea to find moderators for your reaction videos is definitely a good one. There are times, usually after hearing you comment on something, that it can be very tempting to say something. I just hope that I haven't ever been guilty of spoiling the experience for you, Domi. If I did, it was purely unintentional. Still, it is best to follow through with your idea, in case of slip-ups.

This godforsaken episode...I felt so bad when you thought that this episode will bring Oz back because of the title and instead this happened...you were again sooo right but just 1 episode off :D (your caption says it all :) I'm so excited to see your reaction to the next episode, you have no idea) The only highlights for me were Giles singing and the combo of Anya and Spike. But even though I hate this episode, I enjoyed it so much more when I was watching it with you. You were just so precious when you inconspicuously sneaked in the flag when Tara & Willow showed up! Thank you so much for making me appreciate this episode so much more! I've also always hated Go Fish before...(I always skip it on my rewatches) but when I saw your reaction, I found so many things to love about that episode. Your enthusiasm and just all the little things you're able to notice on your first watch is incredible! You're literally the best! Thank you so much <3
