I was very happy your prediction was right! Actually, you do quite well with long-term predictions (though you often think they will happen sooner than they do – these Buffyverse writers are playing the long game), it’s the next episodes you get wrong. It’s very entertaining. I will say that I don’t agree that Gunn “should have” said the words ‘thank you’. The look that he gave Cordy said it all – and Cordy recognized it – the words would have been superfluous. And we did have a conclusion for Veronica. We were told she’d be alright and, most importantly for our story, that Cordy had probably saved her.

I really like the Cordelia and Gunn dynamic by the end of the episode. They have some good chemistry. I'm not so sure about the design of the monster-of-the-week. On the one hand I like it, on the other it seems a bit ridiculous with those long arms and small head.

I think Cordy has definitely changed a little bit since last season. Until the last episode of last season, when she couldn't stop the visions, she seemed more focused on her own interests. This episode showed how she's learned to care about others. It helped that Angel and Wes were unavailable to help her. It showed her determination to look after Gunn's welfare. And I think it made Gunn realize that he had people that cared about him.

Fortunately Joyce didn't know Spike was a vampire in School Hard, otherwise she would probably swung the age differently.

Totally agree. She changed a lot during season 1. I mean, in that one episode she quietly went about chopping a demon into pieces because she was on disposal duty. Just imagine season 2 or even 3 Cordy being put on demon disposal duty. The last episode with the visions really had a big effect on her though. She's so focused on helping others now and it seems to take first place in her mind. Got to love her.

Great reaction. I have to say, it wasn't my favorite demon costume in the show. Just seemed so out of proportion. Whatever though, as the show was all about Cordy and Gunn, well in Angel with his dream trysts too I guess. I know you're curious about the dreams. I don't think it's really spoiling to say what's going on, but I feel it takes away the fun. I will say, as a hint, go back and watch Angel 1x11. It may have answers you seek.

Having taken a first aid course several years ago, I noticed how Cordelia handled the situation with the girl she and Gunn brought to the hospital. Right away she told told the medical staff what she noticed a the action she took to help keep her alive. Any information is always appreciated, and can be vital to saving the patient. Also, notice that Cordy didn't complain about getting blood on her shirt. Not typical of the Cordy we first met.

Gunn's look of thanks at the end of the episode was nice, but it would have been better to hear him say the words.
