2x02 Are You Now or Have You Ever Been when Angel walked out of the hotel leaving the guests to the Thesulac demon, and now this?! Turns out Angel With a Soul can be a bit of a dick too I guess😬

Wesley: "I fear you may be looking for a logical pattern in the rantings of someone who doesn't think logically." Domi: "Oh but she does, though." Domi gets it. Drusilla is very logical. She starts out from unusual axioms, but she's very logical in her conclusions. If you name all the stars the same name then logically there will be terrible confusion. If Miss Edith speaks out of turn then of course she must be punished. And if Drusilla is giving (un-)life to Darla then Darla will be born anew, and therefore needs a nursery. Honestly if Darla and Drusilla want to kill Angel and just take over the rest of the show I'd be fine with that.

My guess as to why Holland called Darla and Drusilla while they were trying on new clothes is that, by doing so, they would see them as being on their side, and thus not harm them. How wrong he was!!

Gunn is smarter than people give him credit for. He figured out how to find Darla earlier in the season, and now he helped narrow down the possible places where Darla would be waking up.

So it's seems that having a soul doesn't automatically make you a good person. Faith, for example, was evil for a while. Luckily, Angel brought her back to the good side. But now, whose going to save Angel?

I liked what you said comparing Buffy to Angel. Buffy is a superhero. She was given super human powers to fight bad guys and lives to do that. It’s more black and white. Angel is a more complex lead character. He’s already done terrible things and lives in a much more “grey area” than Buffy does. That allows for some different and very interesting types of stories to be told.

I don't know if Wolfram and Hart had any specific plans for Darla and Drusilla. They seemed content to let them run amok. At least that's how it seems at times.

Yeah, I think that the original plans with Darla didn't work out and so this was a salvage plan. Just a "Well we don't want that work to go entirely to waste, let's just cause some mayhem from it".

I really loved this episode, though I could have done without the rise of Emo Avenger Angel. Drusilla is definitely one of my top 3 characters. What can I say; I'm a sucker for a crazy brunette with a tragic past. (see: Faith). Plus Juliet Landau is an incredible actress. And I will give this show mega props for evolving Darla into such an amazing 3D character when she was just a prop for Angel's past on Buffy.

Still watching your commentary and lol'ing at your horror of Dru calling Angel 'daddy'. It's even creepier when you remember that Angelus/Drusilla hooked up on the regular on Buffy, and probably when they were all a foursome too.
