hi friends!

i was about to sit down to record 5x17 of buffy to get it ready for monday, but unfortunately i couldn’t bring myself to do so. i don’t feel ready to watch this episode, i’ve been dreading it all week (feeling extremely anxious about it) and overall this just hasn’t been my week, so i don’t feel like putting myself in front of a camera today. i want to be able to watch buffy and enjoy it, and i just know any video i record today will suck, so i’d rather hold off.

i apologize but i really feel the need to take a week off, so instead of posting 5x17 this monday, it will come out the following one. i’m so sorry and i hope y’all understand… see u then.

Of course, take care of yourself first. We understand completely.

No worries, maybe you can rewatch some old feel-good Buffy episode off-camera instead. Or maybe watch the Pride & Prejudice feel good movie... :-)

I'll be happy to watch more Buffy with you whenever you are ready. I think it's worth mentioning, however, that for most reactors, I think they have felt better when they kept moving, rather than leaving the show for too long. I think watching the characters deal with it, helps you to deal with it. Just a thought. Please don't interpret this as "hurry up", because I don't think it does any of us any good for you to feel rushed. I find some parts of the Buffyverse hard to watch with reactors. I hate not being able to warn reactors about things to come. None of us should be making a decision like that for the whole community. Watching Buffy reactors sometimes feels like watching someone being tortured by the show, but for the most part I don't see the show as torturing its audience. I see it as depicting painful aspects of life... so it's really life that tortures us... not the show. That's my opinion... but I totally understand if someone else feels the show is torture sometimes. Also... remember how funny Doppelgangland was?

The rest of season 5 is pure *chefs kiss* 🤌🤌 as alley says lol

I totally understand, but as someone who’s been through this with a lot of reactors I think the best advice is that the sooner you get to the next episodes the sooner you can recover. Stopping here means you can’t really move on emotionally, you just keep reliving that one horrifying episode.

No problem, take your time and don’t record another reaction until you’re absolutely ready to hop back on that emotional roller coaster.

I know these past couple of episodes have been so hard and we are so proud of you for pushing through and deciding to watch “The body.” Do what you need to do and we will be here. We love you and your content. Thank you for pushing through and being a part of this community. Take all of the time you need!

Understandable, it's a rough ride

I think most understand that reasoning. And I for one prefer to see your reactions when you are in the right state of mind rather than enforcing a schedule.
