Yet again... It is time for the Domi Ramblings!!!!! Hopefully you guys will have some fun talking about the best season of Buffy with me :) And with this, we officially wrap Season 5 of Buffy. Feels so nostalgic and weird? I miss it already! I'll see y'all next week for the Angel S2 Wrap Up video, and then we will be finally going back into reactions!! I can't freaking wait. But as you can imagine, I need to go slowly through these wrap ups because they're extremely time consuming to film and edit.

I've always thought it was weird when people think Buffy's 2nd death would activate another slayer. What I understand of it is Buffy's already had her successor so the only way a new slayer would arrive is if Faith died - she's technically the current slayer albeit, out of action. Love your predictions for Season 6 and you are in for a treat - S6 is my personal favourite, it's quite the ride!

Domi, I'm not sure I'm gunna make it through the whole video (you have set us a task) but a thought from the first part. When Buffy moves back home at the beginning of Family she tells her friends it is to look after her mother, but I read it as mostly that she wants to be there to protect dawn. Buffy just found out Dawn is the key in the previous episode, and at this point doesn't know her mum's headaches are anything serios. Of course Buffy can't say this is the reason to her firends.

Was that shirt intentional? It reminds me of the on she wore when she met Glory and found out about Dawn.

I think it was decided from the start not to make the show only about vampires. And I'm fairly certain that it wouldn't have lasted as long as it did.

The advantage of such a long video is that I can watch it a little bit at a time. That will make it less hard to have to wait until the next one.

You're certainly not alone in disliking Buffy vs Dracula. It's one of my least liked episodes of the whole show, if not _the_ least liked. I really do go as far as calling it a bad episode. I think it's very interesting how differently we feel about killing the vampire that Riley cheated with, and Glory. To me, the first is a vampire. Buffy's job is to kill vampires. So yes, she hesitated because she recognised the vampire. And yes, she eventually did kill her at least partly because of feeling hurt at what Riley did - we agree on that. But I don't see it as such a big moment as you do. Like I said, it's a vampire. To me, it's no different than killing a vampire who had torn her favourite shirt or something. As for Glory: the moment when she let her go, Her Effervescent Silkiness was already Ben again. And Ben is a human. True, a human sharing bodies with an evil god, but still fully human. And Buffy doesn't kill humans. So she wasn't so much letting The Magnificent Glory get off with a warning - she was simply not killing a human. At least those are my thoughts on the matter.

I like Buffy vs Dracula. I think it's campy and fun and Dracula really forces Buffy to confront the darkness inside of her and the darkness of the slayer in general. The run in with Dracula actually changes the way Buffy looks at herself and her power. And honestly, the season is so serialized that I find Buffy vs Dracula to be a fun episode to just rewatch as a 1 off where you dont have to worry about overarching story and just have a fun and campy time. And the Dawn cliffhanger is great. I'd take that over the episode with the giant snake or the demon that came from outterspace, or the episode where Riley leaves. Like if i had to watch just 1 episode of Buffy right now and I could watch Buffy vs Dracula or Weight of the World, I'd watch Buffy vs Dracula any day.

The Cheese Man declined to show up in Season 5, in order to deliberately aggravate people who wanted to see him again.
