LMAO your look when you realized it was BuffyBot was ME. I was SOOOO MAD that they were going to use BuffyBot for the rest of the series. I literally felt ripped off LOL

The worst part of this episode wasn't when Dawn slept in the same bed as the Buffybot, it wasn't when Giles left or when Spike slammed the deck of cards on the table, it was when that poor woman was attacked by a vampire in a Hanson t-shirt!

Sadly because of the length of this video, and because of my work schedule, I'll have to watch this later. But I know that I'm going to love it.

Yes, season 6! My absolute most favourite Buffy season ever!!! :D

Hosman

My favorite as well!

Girl4Music

“No, she’s a robot. You guys couldn’t tell me apart from a robot!” Willow: “Hold my crystal.”

Girl4Music

Oh, so you mean that you liked that Tara was able to acknowledge and respect Willow’s consent even when Willow couldn’t give it. Yes, that’s a very loving and supportive thing to do as her girlfriend. Her partner. Acknowledge and respect her consent when her lover is unable to give it. Indeed I agree.

My favorite part of the episode is when Buffy and Dawn are reliving Buffy's last moments. Buffy being on the edge of replaying that time asking if this is hell and Dawn trying to pull her back. The question you brought up as to whether Buffy will ever be the Buffy we knew, is a good one and not one I can really get into now. Maybe as a season 6 review, or 7.

Hey Domi, really excited to watch the video but I just wanted to say that my thoughts have really been with Brazil since the terrible attack on democracy. While the images from Brasília were horrifying, all the videos showing the brazilian people demonstrating in support of democracy have been so inspiring! It atleast gives me hope that Brazil will defeat these fascists and that brazilian democracy will become stronger than ever!

OK I'm firmly in the "this is the best season" camp, because I'm looking forward to seeing you watch so much of it. As for the watch order, I wonder if they should give more flexibility in the long stretches between the crossovers, but then I do realize I would hate seeing reactors put Buffy on the shelf for too long while watching the Angel part of the long stretches to catch up accordingly, so it's a mixed bag. I can't even remember if I watched the two intermixed or if I did all of Buffy before watching all of Angel on my first viewing. It's really interesting hearing all of your discussion and the bits that are amazingly prescient, and the bits that are humorously wrong. But being unable to comment because spoilers, and knowing that you'll never revisit this analysis when you're done because .. that's a lot of shows. I went back and watched your "The Body" and contrasting that attitude of "I'm not the kind of person to cry" to these most recent 8 episodes are so it kinda funny. Also went back to watch the "Willow comes out" episode to see you squeee over it and was surprised at how much you've changed ... until I found out about the sister switch-out. I assumed that Willow and Tara were in the master bedroom as that made them seem more like a married couple with a kid (is domestic the word I can't come up with? maybe).

Tara's "Grr, argh", when the group was seeing Giles off, was a nod to the monster that shows up at the end of every episode From what I understand, I think it was Alyson Hannigan who would have liked to say the line, but Amber Benson was the lucky one.

I liked how you got a little chuckle when Anya was about to tell Buffy about her and Xander's engagement. This episode needed some levity.

FYI, the show changed networks for this season from The WB to UPN and UPN's network censors were a lot more lenient in general and they didn't have a problem with Willow and Tara kissing like The WB was. So that's why you see a kiss and more affection between them. Tony Head was ready to spend more time back at home in England and it was his choice to not be a series regular. The show didn't fire him or anything if that's what you were worried about Jenny wasn't killed by mystical forces so she couldn't be brought back. This episode made it a point to say that the only reason Buffy could be brought back was because she died unnaturally by mystical forces. People like Joyce and Jenny were killed under normal circumstances. So they cant be brought back like Buffy was. I didn't love season 6 the first time I watched it but it's risen up my favs list on re-watch. I'd put it behind Seasons 5, 3, and 2 (those are my top 3 favorite seasons) but I'd probably put it as my 4th favorite. I found season 6 to be a tough watch the 1st time through but have come around to what the season as a whole is trying to do. There is 1 storyline that I just don't care for very much and I think the metaphor doesnt work but that's for later in the season

I like Xander congratulating Tara on axing the monster that was choking Willow. And I found Tara's response "My first" amusing.

Girl4Music

Yeah, it was like she was losing her virginity as a Scooby. This is the same problem they had with Oz if I remember correctly. Trying to figure out how to get him in on the demon fighting and slaying action without him turning into a werewolf. I’m glad Tara surpassed Oz as far as that goes. It’s nice to see her get in on the Scoobyage properly. So it really was a welcome surprise to see her on-screen second after Spike rather than Willow or Xander or Giles. It tells us that she is getting serious within the group dynamic because of how serious she is now in her relationship with Willow. Being a domestic partner comes with the territory of living like a Scooby full time. I really like that they did that with her.

James

My favourite too!

Loves Bitca

Exactly, James Marsters even stated that they had no censors at all. I think there's actually a more official word than censor, that I can't think of, but Yes, UPN did not have any at the time. So they had absolutely no one to tell them they couldn't do something.

This has nothing to do with the episode, but I just wanted to say that I like you shirt, Domi. Sunnydale Slayers sounds like a professional sports team.

Steve Quast

Adonai is definitely Hebrew.

Willow last season: Don't aim for the horsies! Willow this season: C'mere, Bambi! Willow has a surprise for you!
