The hockey scenes were due in part to David's love of the game. Can't hate him for that. I'm Canadian, so I grew up with the sport.

Every action is forgivable, although some take longer to get over. It seems to me like Holtz simply doesn't want to forgive Angel, even though Angel clearly regrets his actions as Angelus.
