Honestly I never comment, but I’m really disappointed that it’s been 1 month between 2 episodes. I’m going to have to cancel my membership because this is the only series I really care to watch, and I’m literally paying a crazy amount for essentially 1 max 2 videos a month. Sorry but had to say it

Well, since you have the poster, ‘Wynonna Earp’ would be a good choice for the next show to watch and react to. I’ve recently started watching it myself around Christmastime. And considering it’s coming back with a Tubi movie, so the hype is high right now, it might be a good choice. It’s very Buffy-ish. There is a badass main female lead and a cute WLW couple. You’ll like it.

please feel free to cancel… i’ve been moving to another country all on my own while juggling a full time job and full time studies on top of reacting, without being able to take any vacation days — so as mentioned, things have been hectic while i settle in. i hope to be back in a regular schedule soon but i don‘t want anybody to feel they’re not getting what they paid for.

The time and date shown in 'Conversations with Dead People' is the date and exact time that the episode initially aired - the additional 2 minutes after 8pm being how long the episode had been on at that point.

Damm, girl, 100+ min video?? I guess that settles all my commute time for the week :D

“I see more than anybody realizes because nobody’s watching me.” It’s the choice that matters. Always. And the reason why I like Xander as a character is because he really is someone who has no reason to be any better than the way he often behaves. He has never had any positive example of how to behave to look at and aspire to. No positive role model. And yet he almost always chooses to change his behaviour anyway as soon as he is aware of it. And that’s a very admirable quality to have. He is a very flawed character but his choice is to be better once he is aware of what his flaws are. And I love that. I love that Xander uses his worst self to be his best self. I think that is valid representation of the human condition. Of how we grow in our self-consciousness.

I noticed the Hollywood sign in the background - so you're back in LA?

I feel that in the episode Conversations ... they have a named time and place to establish that the events we are seeing are happening simultaneously rather than consecutively. Also the episode was in most areas first aired at that very time and date. So it was like; Here's what's happening in good old Sunnydale now. I never realized Kit was the name of the girl from Lessons. I was just happy it wasn't Janice, like Dawn only has one friend. As far as the Spike vs Anya thing, you say the group helped Spike But it wasn't the group, it isn't they. It was Buffy. The difference between how they treated them comes down to only one character, Buffy. And as to why, you answered it yourself. She deep down loves him.

I feel that the time and place were also mentioned to set up that Christmastime was nearing, and that was when the First made its appearance on Amends. So, Buffy figured things out about the First at approximately the same time of year.

I am not a very big fan of this middle part of season 7 that focuses a lot on the potentials. Most of them either have no personality or an annoying personality. I do like the actress that plays Amanda though (Sarah Hagen), she's really good in one of my all time favorite shows, Freaks and Geeks. By far the highlight of this episode is the Dawn and Xander conversation. It's very well written and acted and does a great job of hitting you right in feels.

The mention of the cave refers to where Buffy first met the Bringers. Giles had read the sentence "Nothing shall grow above or below." This reminded Buffy of the Christmas tree lot, where she encountered some dead Christmas trees.

It occurs to me that one reason the vision of Joyce Buffy was seeing in her dreams might have been encouraging her to "wake up" would be to ensure that she wouldn't be well-rested the next time she fought... which would point to that vision of Joyce being a manifestation of the First after all. On the other hand, appearing in dreams is not a power that the First has been established as having, as far as I know...

If Xander wants a cape, he better not ask Edna Mode from The Incredibles. Her philosophy was "No capes!!"

I think Xander finally found a positive role when he met Buffy. At first it was just a crush, but she helped bring out his good traits.

She used to have quite a few videos that were often more than an hour long. My favorite ones, actually.

You've probably already seen all the episodes of season 1 of Wednesday, but if you haven't, that would be my suggestion. I always looked forward to Lexi's reactions.

Girl4Music

She was his hero. As he said in Season 4.

Willow's comment about Buffy and Dawn sharing the same blood got me wondering about something. If there was any moment when Dawn could have been a Slayer, it should have already happened. She was made out of Buffy, and Buffy was the Slayer. So, in a roundabout way, we could already have had a third Slayer. On another note, I like your holding on firmly to the hope that Faith will show up.

I finally watched all of it (just in time for the next one :D). Just 2 comments about this episode: -I was really glad they didn't go with the potential route with Dawn. For me it would have felt "cheap", and I very much prefer this version of Dawn instead of yet another character punching things in the background. We already have too many of those. -Regarding Xander and power, I always had the feeling that he was consciously avoiding it: we never see him training physically or in combat, he never does magic on his own (except for that one time when he summoned a dancing demon), even if he seems quite capable of it ... It's like he was fearing what he could do if he had real power, and probably even more after seeing Willow go down that route. I don't know, it's a thought that always comes back to me after watching this episode

The situation of Spike vs. Anya commiting murder is complicated but I always saw it this way: Buffy wants to help Spike because she is aware that Spike has a soul now and is giving him the benefit of the doubt that he wouldn't consciously kill humans. Anya, however, is very consciously a vengance demon and is choosing to commit her murders. I think this is also why the writers chose to make it a mass murder in Anya's case, so we (and Buffy) couldn't try to rationalize it away by saying, "oh, it's just one, maybe two people, we can fix that!" Also, I noticed in your comments from the "Selfless" video that you wondered what Willow meant when she began to say she couldn't bring back all the frat boys that Anya killed, saying, "I don't have that kind of power, even when I...(trails off)." You thought she was talking about when she tried to bring back Tara and failed but I believe she was referring to bringing back Buffy. Because the frat boys and Buffy were mystical deaths. I think she meant she barely had the power to bring back one person, let alone 20. But also, I like the contrast of her reaction in this episode vs. her hubris when talking to Giles just one year before, when she told him she is powerful, and he better not piss her off.
